I’m still rooting for my peeps at Lakeview Centennial. Was really happy to see them make state after going down to 5A

Yeah….it’s not really a good thing if multiple other band directors think you should’ve made state and tell your band director that we would’ve done better if Area was on the planned day. But nothing we can do now except build up from what we have.

I know it's a little early but why not have some way to early predictions. 1. Coppell 2. Keller 3. Timber Creek 4. SLC 5. LD Bell 6. Lake Ridge 7. Keller Central 8. Halton 9. Trinity 10. Martin Most of these spots are interchangeable. I could see Timber Creek placing second over Keller and then LD Bell placing over SLC. But you never know how things will look out next year.

Here's all I know about my boys at the OWB Rockwall highschool 1980-1990 Two State Apperances 2018-Cathedrals Fist State marching Apperance since 1980 2021-After Me 3rd Mesquite Marching Contest 4th Birdville Marching Invatational 6th Area C Finals 2022-Northern Lights 3rd Mesquite Marching Contest 1st Birdville Marching Contest 11th Area C Finals 2023-Sherlock, a Study in Scarlet 2nd Mesquite Marching Contest 8th Area C Finals 2024-Valor and Virtue 2nd Mesquite Marching Contest 12th BOA Prosper/North Texas (First ever BOA Finals Apperance) 5th Area C Finals -
From my understanding at least two bands have had their show revealed. One being Royce City with their show blink and Berkner (They didn't actually post it I just know they had it)

OMG YEESSSSSSS! THANK YOU SLC!!!!! I have been waiting for someone to do a show like this and I wanna see it right now. Also, love the fact that SLC is coming back to grand nats. Not to sure about the uniforms, but you never know how it'll look on the field.

Looking at the replacements, yeah there's no way in my opinion these new directors ruin it from last year. They just need to not bring something completely different like a sudden jazz show without warning. Other than that it should still be a fun and competitive year.

I wouldn’t expect to much drop off from either Sac or JJ. Maybe it would affect just this year and the new directors know what they’re up against. But they can’t take things slow, because I can almost guarantee you that Forney, D-Ville, and Rockwall will all try to take advantage of these changes.

If I’m doing the math right, this area has lost many prices of last year so I’m gonna list all of them as of 4/11. Sachse: Lost head director JJ Pearce: Lost head director Waxahachie: Losing some director pieces. And considering all three of these programs were area finalists and two were state qualifiers these could be the difference between the standings from this year to last year. The question is who will take advantage of the new leadership opportunities or will these three prove they can win without their previous directors

That looks so cool. Cant wait to see how one of the better 2A schools (in my opinion) will make this their own. Looks like such a fun show!

I know both Wylies just replaced theirs and KC lost theirs but I think this area has just been hit harder than most.

I also wanna shout out another underdog I think that could be higher up next year. Hear me out but I wouldn’t be shocked if Azle surprises people and claims an area spot.

I’m kinda sad my band can’t do this contest this year because of region. 😭. But I can’t wait to see the results of this contest.

It really sucks when there are so many great bands in one Area that don’t get to advance because of the advancement system. I was looking at D3 and I feel like it should be changed from 3 more if a band from that area gets top 3, and change it to 1 band more for each band that makes State Finals. But it is what it is.

It feels like this competition keeps getting more stacked the closer we got to summer band and I am all for it.
