    oh yes...this site has been pretty inactive lately... I'm going to TCU next fall. SO That means I can have any unbiased opinion on high school bands

    we will see what they bring. I don't buy into teasers.

    Play what ever you want for about...hmm...30 seconds, and then we need to have woodwinds play Concert C for a minute, while brass plays random glisses...and then...Drum break! Run around while screaming at different pitches. That's what it would be.

    Yes, Richland is not going to Grand Nationals next year. Which is sad, because next years music is going to be really good. (I don't have permission to disclose the music)

    All woodwinds except bassoons have at l;east a measure or two with double touging in them.

    They are the only band I've ever heard play Mahler on the field.

    I HATE Gould's Symphony for Band. I almost had to play that at Church band, but my director said it was too long, so we played Eric Whitacre's Equus
