There are some great arguments on this topics. But neither will change, and it's a bit too early to tell what is going to happen with marching band. Who knows which band will come up with the next ridiculus thing that will change band as we know it forever.

we got through our ballad yesterday... 3/4 done with our show. That's unheard of in our school. It remeinds me of our 2005 ballad. Don't know about the closer yet though.

UIL will always be there. Unless the Government thinks it isn't necesary. As for the future of marching bnad; It constantly evolves. Great shows now will be thought as simple 10 years from now. However, I don't believe marching band relies on football. There is still the military, which started the whole concept of Marching band.

I know. I'm just kinda angry that I have an opinion that is different from everyone elses and I get thrown around for it. But I have calmed down. Some high trumpet stuff is cool, I'll admit. But not all of it.

I like BOA shows a lot better, because there is something to them. I like some of the drill for UIL though.

Band was ok. we didn't play, but that's because it was about 20 minutes long. Music theory was amusing. We made fun of clefs. Health was...well, I don't have much of an opinion yet. AP Calc. was ballistic. We have 36 people in my class, and 85% of them are hyperactive :E Algerbra II: I will finally pass that class. English IV: I hate it. The teacher treats us like we're 5, and the class is immature. Computer App.: Don't have much of an opinion yet.

I'm sorry for the sarcastic comment I made. I just hate it when I don't like something and I get kicked around for it.

I've heard drum corps that sounded great because they played in a reasonable range rather than some that sounded aweful because everything was above the staff. Plus, I can comment where I like. There was no wavier that said "You have to like high, strained trumpets noises in order to comment on this forum"
