how would we know if a band pulls out from the area competition?

ah...my mistake. lets just hope none of them decide to withdraw.

Area B WILL be taking 4 bands to state. As drillz said, 18 bands have made it so far, and every region advances at least 2 bands to area no matter what. Since area B has one more region to go, 4 advancing spots are guaranteed

ah...my mistake. its a soccer stadium, and there was a soccer game there the night before. they will most likely have yard ticks at the competition. sorry for the confusion

You know....i had the exact same thoughts that both of you had. At this point region is the MOST important thing.

good luck to you guys with that. we are in a similar situation. we havnt performed our whole show at contest yet. our first time performing the fourth mvmt, which i might add is the hardest marching and drill ive had in my four years, will be this weekend. we should bump our scores up quite a bit with it

oh i DONT completely disagree. for all we know they could end up ranked first by all the judges. i just dont THINK thats gonna happen

while i dont disagree that birdville is pretty darn good, i do disagree that they will come away with mre than 1 first, if even 1. this is not because they arent good. they are. its because i think sherman will take almost all the firsts. and if they dont, theres a bunch of other bands that could take the musical rankings
