actually, our GE last year wasnt as bad as we thought. i was lookin at some of the scores from last year. lets just say that our non-wind sections hurt us pretty bad

lol. we dont even have our whole show on the field, and our director told us that were not adding ANY visuals this year unless a judge tells us we should. i almost hope that happens

After having not competed with or been to any competitions where the majority of the bands were 3a or lower in the past 2 years, i had trouble with the last 5 spots of this comp.'s predictions

i agree. i think most of the shows were completed. sachse, creekview, and centennial did NOT have their whole shows completed. if anyone knows of any other band that didnt have their whole show completed here, itd be interesting to know

i thought their show seemed a bit short. we(Centennial) didnt have our whole show out there either. i wonder how that affected or placing, if it did at all

Canton is an extremely good band. I saw them last year. They are one of the frontrunners in this competition if you ask me

I have to ask this. lol Does it feel like ur a freakin magician when, at the end, you just give another beat with ur hands and the whole band goes into "limp puppet" stance?

I loved Mansfields show. Favorite one of the day actually. You guys sounded great on some extemely hard music and drill. Get it cleaner and itll be amazing. As far as the sax quartet goes(I may be thinking of a different band, but if i remember right), it sounded pretty good but there was either someone sticking out of the balance or the tuning was a bit off(this was in finals). Other than that, sounded pretty darn good. I liked Creekview's show too. The puppet idea makes for a great show. Once you guys add some more visuals, should be a very effective show. Good luck to you guys with that. Sachse's show I personally did not like. I am by NO means, saying that it was not performed well, they marched the heck out of that show, nor am i saying that the concept was a bad idea, it made for a good show. I just dont really care for that type of show. They really performed well tho. And of course, congratz to Wylie

Yea, its a heck of a job trying to figure out exactly everyone who is in each area. You seem to have done a pretty bang up job of it(ive always wanted to say that, lol)

It IS, in fact, the Centennial Marching Festival that being said, looks like it could be one heck of a competition

Thats a very nice explanation. I agree completely, but I think you may have some of the bands in the wrong area. I know that the Colony is in area B. Just wanted to help get the facts straight. Really nice overview though.
