I can confirm these results. I'm shocked The Colony and creekview haven't made it

From what I've heard of performances today, I'd have to put Aledo first in Prelims Just waiting to see Southwest!!!

Monday is D-day then! I agree with Danpod. Anything less than a consistent ruling could cause some EXTREME uproars.

Sherman High School last week. Definitely one of the top competitors for 4A Area B

I think there's an inherent rivalry between ALL the Frisco ISD schools. lol. I mean, a lot of kids have friends in other programs, so it kind of turns into a nice friendly competition at all those football games.

I'm already sad for whatever band gets left out. I just don't think it's right. =[ That being said though: I think between the top 11 bands, you will only see a spread of MAYBE 5-8 points. I wouldn't be surprised for example if the 11th place band scored a 90.0 and 1st place was only a 95.0. It's going to be THAT close.

Mansfield of the ones I've seen (Granted I've only seen Timberview and Mansfield). Timberview's show is really entertaining. The GE That Mansfield brings though is just mind blowing.

I went mostly on names. It's sad to say, but I think that these bands are so consistent with each other as far as talent this year that I wouldn't be surprised if the band's "name" had some effect on their overall ranking.

They weren't supposed to record at least.... Centennial scrapped their whole recording sessions because of this. They had worked hard on the Maslanka Symphony and I want to say their other piece was Hammersmith for the recordings... =/ On topic: I think the band from Area B most likely to medal is Newman Smith. It's such a clean show and musically it's quite fantastic this year.

Just did my predictions.... I was literally like cringing while forcing myself to pick and narrow down the rankings..... I'm still on edge about it.

They're still on my radar. I just think that everybody is speculating about all these underdogs/new bands and it's really exciting. =]

I have only the highest respect for ALL the Mansfield ISD schools. I have yet to ever see them display any sort of poor sportsmanship. And the directors that I've talked to from there are quite honestly the nicest people I've ever met.

Band parents with seniors in the top ensembles complained that it wasn't fair to make their child record for a competition they wouldn't perform at if the bands were selected.... =/

Frisco Centennial at UIL this past Saturday! Doesn't start until about 4:40 mark though. Added some visuals, changed a few parts of the music and cleaned like CRAZY! Also, you can see me in the first few minutes! I'm standing right on the 40 in the center of the first giant heart. =]

Slightly off topic but this makes me curious as to how the Frisco ISD Schools would have done in 4A honor band this last cycle. Frisco ISD banned bands from submitting Honor Band and Midwest tapes starting last year, but musically you look at scores so far this season and Centennial placed 2nd in music to the 5A Honor Band, Hebron, and I believe that same competition, Wakeland came in 6th place overall in music. I am now firmly under the belief that the top 3 from Area B will make state finals. Not quite sure if any will actually medal, but they'll put up a fight.

Question: Anybody know where I can see a video of summit this year?
