  1. Injury no. 2 of the season for me: went home early yesterday- figured, okay... we're all sore, but my knee hurts, too so I'll take a day off. Woke up in lot of pain. Went to the doctor. Knee issue again! No marching until Monday (though I might be able to sneak in a performance on Saturday)! Cutting it a little close to state finals (doc wanted to give me a whole week off... *shudders*), no? Yay for "TAKE 1 TABLET TWICE DAILY" and "TAKE 1 TABLET EVERY 4-6 HOURS AS NEEDED"
  2. I just wanna lol at your signature. Life would Bb.... HAHAHA.
  3. I know not everyone uses straight legged. I just don't think every type of hobbling around the field should be considered marching. *shrugs* That's all I'm going to say on this topic. Anyway... back on topic... I'm going to once again bring up how interesting it would've been if prelims were finals at area B and Joshua would've made state instead of the colony.
  4. Yeah... man... how 'bout this season? Romo hasn't been the best, but the team's been good. Glad we're winnin'.... anyone else?
  5. Is in Academy territory
  6. I know you said not to but... because of state. It's not an excuse, but.. is there ever an excuse for being arrogant?
  7. On my mind: I wish I could get up without being in unbearable pain.
  8. Everyone's just gonna ignore that? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH.
  9. Jesus, Brad. I still think there's truth in what I said though. A jazz walk isn't a jazz run. I was talking about bands marching 210 (which not many can pull off at all since most can't pull off over 160). And I watched what you told me to watch, and I wouldn't exactly call it marching. Doesn't look very much like marching to me. *shrugs*
  10. Naww. We don't do BOA. What are the band-related things you have in your room?
  11. Because she's a mom, and that's how they all are? Are you coming you excited for state/sad you can't go?
  12. Awww, Michael. Je t'aime. Il ne comprend pas.
  13. You'll probably be a band guide, Wang.
  14. Holy shiz. B H? I had no idea it was you. He marches sousa cuz we haven't exactly had the most hardworking, reliable section in the history, and he was out injured after drum corp so... he got a spot. Every time we do fundamentals and he's in my line he makes everyone else look bad (that DCI experience kills). I find something to fix in everyone but him. Haha.
  15. LOL Yeah I remember yesterday during band when we were working on the jazz run (which is why it hurts to get up) and then we went back to hip pivots, the 8 to 5 step felt like a 16 to 5. I think everyone overshot it and had to dramatically decrease step size after.
  16. The last time I saw Ms. Hartenberger making the schedules, I was put as field monitor for both of my shifts (which is how I want it) so I'll probably get to see all the bands. Woot-ness. I'm hoping it didn't change.
  17. *insert long scientific explanation of why sky is blue* Energy drinks? Did you know that the sky used to be red and the oceans green when the earth first started? Isn't that cool?
  18. Not really a prank, scandal, or controversy, but just in a short while I like how the forums had a slightly disrespectful air, and then the wrong-doers apologized, and things are generally cool between different bands (I <3 Sherman kids). If anything, there's more animosity going on between members of the same bands (which isn't a whole lot at all).
  19. Il est mon bon copain. Il est tres amusant et sympa.
  20. AHHHHHHH! I wanna see us. Percussion got to watch our video during percussion class, but we didn't *tear*
  21. Reread what I said. You *completely* read it wrong or understood it wrong.
  22. We go at 172 for our closer, and that's already insane. When we do fundamentals in class, we (since wind ensemble is filled with section leaders and upperclassmen, generally) marched at 200 once, and that was INSANE. I don't know how you guys can pull that off. That's REALLY impressive.
  23. Well... baritones are a lot smaller and lighter than euphoniums (I hope you know that and don't just call yourself different things), and euphoniums in general have a more mellow lower sound, like the concert instrument, whereas baritones are... well.. I hate marching baritones even though I do march with one. Though I would throw this out there: I have 7 tuba freshmen and 3 baritone freshmen in my section.
  24. Pimps is now a secret word for nerds. I think five dollars is...
