let's all just mello out... take a chill pill... relax... I sense hostility. *Back on topic* I'm clueless to states below Waco, but as for north Texas, I definitely think its a close between Bell and Marcus. Last Year I had the pleasure of seeing both bands, and, to tell the truth, I couldn't say who I liked better. Yes Marcus was definitely a crowd pleaser, which btw isn't all what goes into liking a show (personally, atleast), and yes I do believe Bell had more depth in their theme. The bands took two different approaches and both came on top. Also, remember, U.I.L. is not the only standard competition bands are compared in, there are many other competitions that take a different judging style. It just goes to show that there will hardly be majority/minority when it comes to picking favorite bands.

NONONONO! Its hard to explain. Kinda... like its a airplane themed show. So there's this part (btw for the entire show their is a colorguard speaking on a mic as if she was a stewardess, props to her memorization) where the colorguard mentions about on flight entertainment, and sachse plays a little snippet of PoTC. it was fun. -

That's pretty much exactly how we felt. I was kinda bummed... but on a lighter note here were my favorite shows: Mansfield: Hands-down this show is one of the toughest I have ever seen. It was a bit rough, but it was still my favorite show out of the entire competition. I loved the music and I loved the drill (especially your exit drill). Unlike many bands, you guys march AND play for a good amount of the show. Once again, I loved it. However, as a drum major, I was terrified of your DM podium... that thing is a beast. Sachse: Love it or Hate it, you have to recognize that the show was very well performed. Some people might not have liked the theme (my dad), others really enjoyed it (me). The theme was cleverly formed and the music chosen really fit the show. I especially loved the PoTC part of the show. It almost seemed like it was poking fun at other bands... lol. I also really enjoyed watching Aledo and Creekview. Unfortunately, I didn't get to watch The Colony, Grapevine (although I saw them at HEB), Plano West, or Northwest. Even though our placement was kind of a dissapointment to us, thankfully our bus ride home was still high spirited. We played this weird booty game I've never heard of... -

Yea that run was pretty amazing. Too bad statistically it had to be counted as 4 yards.

I seriously don't think we'll get it by sat. If we do, we'll probably we marching the first 3 movements pretty cold on saturday. Either way is fine for me though. Learning the 4th sooner means more time for cleaning the show as a whole before region and area. -

Hahahaha. That would be pretty funny if someone got called borchnork out of the blue. Btw I was part of "the other CHS kids". Watching Birdville kinda made me anxious cuz they are in our area.
