this competition confuses me. What's a standstill? And What's Marcus Redline? And holy crap why is this competition so packed? -
I will tell you this. We do lose with style. I mean, what other losing team lets the winning team intercept the ball and score an 80 something yard touchdown with .3 seconds left? Or how about fumbling the ball within 1 yard of a touchdown for what could have been a tie at the end of a game? I'm telling you man, we do things not very many losing teams can accomplish.

one of our most talented band members EVER was in pit... make that two or three. -
We have a nice sax quartet at the beginning of the show. I think someone, a judge or our director, said its even better than our honor band recording. lol.

I know they make pre-flavored reeds. My friends had some. BTW Never use it for marching especially under the hot sun. It would stick lol. -

I wonder if they will make a spongebob soulja boi music video like they do with other hip hop songs and metal songs. *Edit* nvm that "other hip hop" song WAS soulja boi. lol. -
State Predictions???
SerialSleeper90 replied to Karah's topic in Past Contests, Events, and Festivals Archive
Have you heard the show? It starts out with a major-esque type of song (kinda like "I've been working on the railroad" lol) and then it transitions into a kind of darker melod progression and then they mash it together. That was to grace and to ernesto I don't mean arranging the peace was difficult. I mean just trying to play it together cuz it may not have 'clicked' together like most peaces do. ANYWAYS... My favorite show was Aledo's. the end. lol. -

SerialSleeper90 replied to Karah's topic in Past Contests, Events, and Festivals Archive
I dunno if its difficult. Just a guess. Im not sure what the songs are called but the arrangement included a mash of one song with another song and I believe the difficulty of it is that it might have been difficult to keep track of one "song" while the other was going. Like I said, just a guess. -

I think the difficulty of playing two different "themes" at the same time is what boosts the Colony's music scores and if our directors had any influence on judging style, its the musicality that will be the decider. maybe... maybe not... but most likely. lol. -

Haha the announcer was one of our drum major's dad. Pretty much what happened was the two kids who were running on to the field were caught up in work up in the press box. The guy who fell has a heart and back problem. Everything ended up okay in the end. -
I didn't enjoy the show... because I didn't get to see it. *Fair warning* Don't let band parents coax you with the word "promotion" with volunteer work.

Ok maybe not most bands, but some do... I dunno. lol. When I think of bent leg I think of leading with the knee. lol It would be kinda interesting to see a HS band take on a Nazi or North Korean marching style. I don't mean all the "hail" hand motions and stuff. Just the style.
