I'm thinking wakeland or timberview will get be best Div. III. As for Div. II... i dunno. It's gonna be tough. I'm gonna go with Sherman. Div. I Is all speculation for me as I have not seen any of the big bands or heard much about their placements, but I'm going to guess Plano East or Allen. I know they have pretty solid marching institutions. Its too bad the colony is a div higher than the rest of the 4A contenders. This competition is going to be really interesting for me. I'm looking forward to seeing Timberview (they beat us LE, but I didn't get a chance to watch them), Sherman, Dripping Springs, Frisco, and all of the 5A Bands. Also, it'll be really cool to see how much Aledo and The Colony have improved (even though it'll be after area).

You guys are definitely flying through the building process of a new band. I remember watching you guys at area last year (yes, I went there just to watch). I'll say this... I don't know what the judges were on. You guys should have gotten a way higher placement, if I remember correctly.

Haha thats 5 bands making state from area b. Quite an optimistic outlook. You know I wish you guys were 4a already. While that would make 9 (count em) bands duking it out... atleast it improves the chances of having a greater number for state bound bands.

Yea I think they are the only band big enough to make a good looking wave by themselves. lol. I believe they did that in the stands at area last year.

It's always fun just watching Allen getting on the field. "Hey! Look! Allen is getting on the field!!!" 1 minute later... "Hey! Look! There's the second half!!!"

I wish I could have seen ANY OF THE SHOWS! Except I did see Mansfield's at TOC, which was my fav their.

thats really fortunate. We are divided into 3, depending which concert band the player is in so none of that for us.

Actually, Mike, I do believe Boyd is shaping up to be the best in their town. Do you remember seeing North last week? They were SMALL! While size is not the only determining factor, you can tell that the chunk taken out of them has affected their ability to deliver. Boyd is definitely a band to consider. However, I have also seen Boyd, and marching fundamentals is definitely something they can improve upon. The scores from East competition says that as well as both Marching judges gave 10th as well as the GE judge, which is partially affected by marching. Also, while I do agree that Boyd has a great sound, only one Judge placed them higher than Sherman, while the other didn't. Anyways... still, Boyd definitely makes EVERY band's run for state at area B even tougher.
