Yeah we went right after yall. Congratulations. I didn't get to hear your concert though because I was too busy getting percussion stuff ready. lol

No, it wasn't that. lol oh well. We played at the Meyerson Center in Dallas, TX just last weekend at the Invitational Wind Band Festival. We won Outstanding Large School Percussion and placed 2nd overall. Their isn't a oustanding soloist award awarded to percussion, but the percussion judge said they were going to talk to some people and get an award made for me because my sweeeeet xylo playing on the Persechetti symhony was so....sweeeeeeet lol.

Oh correction, I'm doing marimba 2. Oh really? I haven't been to any camps, I just got music in from my percussion teacher, because he is writing the book. I move up to Wisconsin on the 30th. Glad there's another newbie too :]

thanks :] i just have the normal nerves of a 16 year old girl going away for the entire summer without her friends and family from home and missing all the vacations and mission trips that usually happen.

I will be playing marimba 3 for Pioneer. It's my first year, and I was just placed in the last week or so, so I haven't been to any camps. I'm nervous and scared, of course, but i know it will be a good experience.

Georgetown HS Wind Symphony Symphony for Band (movements 1-4)-Persechetti Colonial Song-Grainger and then some march by Sousa (has a sweet trumpet/snare lick, i don't know the name of it though lol) our UIL is next week.

haha oh our band halls. that is called the yellow band hall (wonder why?) or the orchestra room. where all orchestra classes are held, even though some band stuff goes on in there. that is part of the original high school, as well as a band hall that is now the bookroom for the school, which was also that disgusting yellow. when the school was built, they were given 3 color choices, all ones that were supposed to be soothing or a safe color to use for learning, or whatever. the color picked for the band halls was the famous yellow. when they built the new band halls, they made them the standard white, with blue accents on the floor, but they didn't bother to paint the yellow band hall. so it lives on in its revolting, blinding glory.

lol that's our 2006 show ! ahh good ol' Passage to the Pyramid for us. idk if you've seen the videos of us performing it or not. but here's us:; 2006 Georgetown Drumline at Belton this was at the beginning of the season, we're a little slower on tempo. i'm the center marimba on the drum major's left :] PASIC 2006 this was at Pasic, we're a little faster, and we changed things, harder to see though.
