just out of curiosity...what are everyone's practice hours?

all i remember from wylies visuals were the "hebron" moves...lol...so im guessing GE has nothign to do with visuals

hmm...after thinking about it, i still dont see how wylie got GE...dont get me wrong, wylie did AMAZING both prelims and finals, but i didnt get the point of the overall show...i didnt even catch the title. =\

someone told me its how music flows with the drill, and ultimatly flows with the general idea of the show

haha actually, we tied for last in prelims, but since you guys were higher in ge, u got .01pt added to ur final score.

hah i remember last year we moved from 10th overall to 5th overall at TOC, i think it was cause we were 16th in marching in prelims, and in finals you can only be as low as 10(we ended up 8th)

mansfield had thier entire production done, but we dont have much visuals yet. i cant wait. hopefully we get them in by next week.

wanna know why sachse didnt get top 3? tehy didnt have a complete show. i think thier show was just over 6 mins. apparently thier drill writer quit so they had to get a new one

im pretty sure northwest got 8th and plano west got 7th. haha i actually liked northwest's show. they looked pretty good in finals. they didnt sound so bad either.

i dont think anyone mentioned this but todd dixon(the new director at wylie) used to be the head band director at Summit high school. Summit was an alternate for state last year. and can someone confirm if creekview will be at BOA arlington or not?

looking back at the predictions, nobody had wylie first or second. one person had them third and that was about as high as they got... way to go wylie!

man i just got back from TOC. what a long day it has been. creekview- i actually enjoyed show alot. it was entertaining, but i think they had just a bit too mcuh puppet motion. and alot of it was repetative. i thought that the strings attatched to the drum major was kinda cool. he shouldve done it for the entire show. (if you dont know what im talking about, ask someone else cause i suck at explaining) grapevine- reminds me of Mansfield of last year. winning a caption and yet still being in 10th. although Mansfield did kick it up to 5th in finals last year. i liked grapevines show last year, i dont know if i like this years as much. wylie- AMAZING band sound. a few players sticking out at times but it was overall a great performance. i never wouldve imagined wylie winning this competition, but wow they surprised me.

is anyone gonna review this contest?

well i know for a fact that in our district, each person is only allowed one overnight trip per year. maybe its the same issue for them?
