i made it to phase 2! i did pretty bad on my audition so im just glad i get a second chance. i was 7th in my room and they took 8. last year i was 9th and they took 8. im happy. now i just gotta kick butt at phase 2.

haha im guesssing marcus will do a show about fire next?

one more question. is there anyway i can extract just the music off of a video and put it on my music player?

haha reading posters and decorations in the room has to be one of my favorite parts of region tryouts. i remember this one room i was in last year, it had all these encouraging quotes all over the room. it was really cool.

monday is phase one...ive played so much i cant even tell if my tone is good or not... ahh help.

speaking of nervousness. anyone have good techniques on how not to get nervous? my section leader from last year told me to bring a sports magazine or something to read in the room.

in fact lewisville was 11th last year (at Area).

i really enjoyed creekview's show. although it was relatively easy, it was performed very well. the whole puppet theme was genious.

i have to agree area D looks pretty tough...wonder how reagan will do.. and looking back to last year's results from state...Austin HS was 24th...is that the same SFA band that got 8th at GN this year?

area b is probably the hardest area in the state of texas.
