My Bass Clarinet music is coming together and should be ready by All-Region Ph.1 on Dec. 1st. I'm working really hard this year to make the All-State Band. Last year I missed it by 2 chairs.

Yeah I'd have to agree with you on that one! I think if Allen just marched its top 200-250 marchers they would be even better! Although I did notice that they have reduced their numbers this year!

Yeah you're really close. Last time we saw them perform they had 71 triangles! I totally agree with them about the Dynasty must fall thing. Sherman has defeated them before and we have the potential to do it again! Even if they do have more marchers than us!Especially when we are both performing Urban Dances, but Sherman's arrangement is much harder!

Yeah I wasn't first chair, so I didn't get the Bass Clarinet solo in I think, the second movement!Oh well, it was still an awsome song!

I think that it would either be us, or Plano Senior High that win the contest. Their show this year is "RIDE"!!! Yes Samuel Hazo's Ride. It's going to be a face off between Olympiada Vs. Ride!

That's one of my favorite songs ever! I played it at the All-Region Band Performance. I was in Region 25 and made the 5A Symphonic Band! Anyway almost every single instrument has an exciting part!Also the song has 3 movements 1.Chaconne,2.Intermezzo,3.March.Gustav Holst's music is so awsome.

We (Sherman) are performing at 2pm! I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone's show that evening!

I'm currently downloading the demo from Xbox Live Marketplace. Yeah I'm getting it also, probably for christmas or something. I'm really looking forward to playing it on my wireless guitar!

Area C is only taking 2 bands?

Our band does 2 laps every day at the start of practice. We do it not because we're being punished, but because it helps raise our endurance level so that we may have a better performance.

We'll make sure that one of those 4 bands is us!

According to the schedule, it seems we have a pretty decent Prelims performance time 2:00pm! I feel sorry for all of the bands that have to go early in the morning.

I think Area B will take 4 bands to state, just because we currently have 18 bands going to Area and Region 5 still hasn't performed yet. Also because there are so many good bands in that Area!

I'll start I'm in marching band because...

Yeah, I also hate it when the announcers call your band and then pause for a while to build suspense and finally they announce your placement,award,rating etc. Gosh that really bothers me, or my favorite, when the judges make a mistake and have to recalculate everything and we're stuck in the stands waiting and waiting and waiting... That's what happened at Prelims at Plano East.

LUCKY! We got stuck with the letter S.

Fata1 brought up a good point. There are way too many bands that start with the letter "S"!

We don't get anything given to us just because we're Sherman. We have to work really hard to get as good as we are. As a matter of fact today was the first day all season long that we didn't have practice, and that's because Region was yesterday.

They have awards at Area? I thought they just announced who was moving on to state? At least that's how I remember it.

Area B is starting to look like the State Finals excluding Poteet and Friendswood. Why did they put so many talented bands in one Area?! I bet all the other areas are relieved of the pressure that us Area B bands are under.

practice field and suddenly...

Just got back from Region. Our Sherman Marching Band got a first division. McKinney North and McKinney Boyd also got 1s. Mckinney and Denison both got 2s. Anyway I found out why Sherman and Poteet are split up this year in Area. It's because things would be more fair for the judges if the same two bands that always make state are divided giving other bands in the Area more of a chance to qualify for state. So now we get stuck in Area B with some serious competition!
