UIL State 1A, 2A & 4A - Nov. 5-6, 2007

Well "only 100" is somewhat insignificant compared to the 180 or 190 that Poteet has. -

I certainly know Sherman dreads those triangles. But I am confident someone can usurp them. Im not saying Sherman will though... We are only about 100 wind players strong, which is down from the 140 we had 2 years ago. But anything can happen -

Instead of a pirate ship, what about a massive triangle? "I hope they fall off of their triangle this year" -

For some reason no one from Sherman has posted our show on youtube... I would appreciate it very much if you did. I would love you with all of my heart Have you tried google video? -

A lot of my "underclassmen apology" was to fix the damage you did. To try to salvage the reputation of Sherman that you so easily soiled. And to think you want your spot back... -

Yeah... I was surprised by Joshua getting 9th and 1st... That kinda shows you the problem with judging But hopefully the state judging will be a "Tabula rasa" (clean slate) -

The judge that gave Sherman a 6th in Marching had seen us earlier this year at the Mesquite Marching Festival, so he had an idea of what our show should look like i guess... and apparently he wasn't as impressed as everyone else in the stadium But he gave us 1st in music... so I guess that shows we have improved greatly on music -

I hate it when people take offense over every little thing. Our show sucked compared to our expectations. I am sure you have had one of those performances when your band just under preforms horribly... Well that happens to even the good bands -

I really can't wait to see your show now. I am intrigued. I haven't been on these boards very long. So tell me, who is everyone expecting to win state this year? Besides Poteet of course.. -

Well, I can't wait to see it on Saturday. I am also looking forward to seeing Aledo and The Colony as well. How amazing would it be if all 4 of our bands made finals at State? That would show how insane Area B is. -

Lydia, don't use people's real names on here without their permission. And what she means is that most people are impressed by our show. The ballad, Lux Aurumque, is composed by Eric Whitacre, who is the next great composer of our time. It sounds very beautiful. And the drill is very demanding. Which is why we run half a mile every practice, to be in shape for the show. -

Yeah yeah... Alot of the underclassmen in Sherman are a little too excited. Although we deserve to be excited, I think its in bad taste to come into a public forum and show it. I'll make sure our directors address this next week. ...and I am getting tired of apologizing for Sherman. Please don't judge us by a few immature underclassmen, but by our marching (:
