  1. Texas State Football schedule is out now. Any idea when this contest will be held?
  2. Sorry, Memorial should be a 77.6 not 72.6
  3. Finals Scores 72.6 Memorial 81.3 Judson 82.9 Lehman 84.4 Georgetown 85.6 LASA 86.7 Grandbury 88.0 Anderson 88.1 Akins 89.5 Harlan 91.3 Madison 93.1 Hays (Best Music, Color Guard, Percussion 93.5 Steele (Best Visual, Best Effect)
  4. This is their second class to graduate.
  5. I guess they set the bar pretty high considering they were the first group to perform in finals.
  6. Looks like the weather is going to be amazing today. Let's go Band!!
  7. Let's hope the weather holds and rain chances disappear. We need the rain but not that weekend!
  8. I'm pretty sure they will be a finalist again this year. They were 6th last year in prelims and finals. Could possibly move up to 5th?
  9. Not quite. if you have 10-19, there will only be 7 groups in finals. If there are 20-29, 10 groups in finals. Over 30 in prelims, there will be 12 in finals. Less than 9, you only have prelims to select those that advance to State.
  10. It doesn't matter how many actually perform at Area. The number advancing is purely off of those bands that receive a 1st division at the Region level.
  11. Thanks for getting this post going!
  12. Hays has beaten Pieper, Lake Belton, Smithson Valley, and McCallum this season. The race for the 2nd—6th spot is going to be tight.
  13. There will be 29 groups at Area D 5A so 5 groups will advance to State.
  14. 8 groups from Region 18 advanced to Area. This means that all 7 groups in Region 26 need a 1st division to advance 6 to State. I'll keep everyone updated.
  15. Akins should get a 1st division this year. They are much stronger than last year's group.
  16. Region 18 and Region 26 have UIL today! I'll update when those results are announced. Good luck to all the groups performing today! All groups would need to receive a 1st Division for 6 groups to advance to the State Contest. Here's hopeful wishing!
  17. 8 groups from Region 11 and 9 groups from Region 29 advanced to Area.
  18. Region 12 had 7 out of 8 make a first division today.
  19. You can find past resultsall the way back to 2004 on www.texasmusicforms.com. Clicking on Results, Region Marching and then select the YEAR, REGION NUMBER and then the CONTEST. You should be able to find all of the results there. Happy searching!
  20. That is true for all Varsity groups entered. However, RR JV is entered as a NV group and therefore does not count toward the number of bands for the purposes of advancement. Non-Varsity groups are not allowed to advance to the Area Contest.
  21. Bands in BOLD received a 1st division rating last year. If the same number receives a 1st division this year, there will be 26 and 5 advancing to State. Several of these schools (*) received a dirty one (112) last year or a 221 (**) Let's hope for the same success this year or more. It would be a shame only to send 4 from this Area. Region 8: Belton Chaparral Corsicana (**) Ellison Lake Belton University Waco (**) Region 12: Alamo Heights Lockhart MacArthur New Braunfels Pieper Seguin Smithson Valley Region 14: Victoria East Victoria West Region 18: Anderson * Bastrop * Cedar Creek * Crockett * Hays Lehman * McCallum Navarro (**) Region 26: Connally East View Elgin Georgetown Hendrickson Pflugerville Weiss
  22. Sorry, Hutto should have been bold (last year's results)
  23. It's amazing to see your support for all the bands across Texas, especially the LISD and Region 32 groups! We should all be a huge cheerleader like you are!
  24. RR JV will not be at Area. They are registered as a NV group and do not advance.
