  1. MG Johnson nor Bowie will be attending this Regional. They will both have 6A Area that weekend.
  2. CP-94.8 Rouse-93.5 Leander-93.0 Wakeland-91.2 HP-90.7 MacCallum-87.7 Aledo-87.9 Forney-87.9 DS-86.7 Hendrickson-86.2 CH-86.3 Friendswood-85.4
  3. All of the finalists were outstanding! Menard was on fire tonight! That mello solo was beautiful.
  4. If you can believe it, it was even more exciting than yesterday's prelim performance.
  5. Here's the schedule 4a_area_final_schedule_2021.pdf
  6. State competition. If they advanced to State and made finals, they would have to leave immediately after finals on Tuesday afternoon. They perform on Friday at Grand Nats.
  7. Good Luck to all the 6A Bands in Area D on Saturday! Should be some beautiful weather for marching bands!
  8. USBands Remo Invitational November 6, 2021 Kelly Reeves Athletic Center
  9. UIL scoring is so much closer to BOA scoring this year with the new sheets at State. Looking forward to seeing all the wonderful, talented groups on the 1st and 8th!
  10. Perfect response, BRAVO!
  11. Absolutely! Bravo Seguin!
  12. Yes, at State. For Area, the judges sheets (both music and visual) have a sub caption for CONTENT though. Much improved sheets over previous years.
  13. Understandable, and I apologize for any hard feelings this could have caused.
  14. I guarantee you, as a director and a seasoned judge, I have judged several times with multiple members of this panel. They all have experience judging marching band.
  15. This was not a dig at the Legacy program from me, just a comment in general about the programs that advance (from all area contests).
  16. The panel included 1 current director with over 20 years experience, 1 retired director, 1 director of fine arts with 25+ years teaching experience, 1 additional fine arts coordinator with 15+ years teaching experience and 1 current director also with 15+ years teaching experience (who currently teaches at a school with around 120 students in their band). I wouldn’t call this panel young or inexperienced at all.
  17. Your director was mistaken. The panel was filled by experienced, seasoned directors with tons of accolades. Don’t think band size had anything to do with it. March well and play well (preferably at the same time, lol) and that will get you a birth to the State Championships
  18. No disqualification. Their rankings were 7, 10, 6, 10, 9
  19. There is not a GE Caption at Area.
  20. Not sure how the system is flawed. Care to explain?
  21. Did you see the shows? Would you care to give your professional opinion CCisd Band Parent? Like lost said, lets congratulate the 3 advancing bands and wish them well at the State Contest.
  22. 1. McCallum 2. Hendrickson 3. Dripping Springs 4. Johnson 5. Weiss 6. Georgetown 7. Seguin

  24. Looks like there should be around 30 bands that qualify for Area D 4A. Region 27 (4 groups) contest is on 10/20 and 2 of those groups need a 1st division to break the 30 mark.
