  1. Finally lol... and a sick bone feature to boot! It def screams BOA. which is good
  2. True they do not sound lower... but neither does a bass Trombone... the bore of the instrument tends to give it a not so bright sound... similar to that of a bass trombone...
  3. Honestly, a majority of our 'Bones really don't like having to switch to Baritone/ Euph. I know that i'd give anything to have Trombones on the field, and whenever we see Trombones on the field (like from our neighboring schools such as Connally.) We're always like "Whats it like marching Trombones?" Then its like a big story time. Theres so many good things about Baritones... But so many bad things too... Eh, You can't have it all.
  4. It always happens right after marching season... just have to find a new source of motivation is all... Though the last few weeks of marching season sometimes i find myself slipping (Mainly because we end up missing sooo much school then BOOM! TEST!) but i always catch myself...
  5. I have never heard of any rash football crowds to the point of tire slashing and dead bulldogs... Our team won like 4 games (I think... i could be a bit genorous though). We've seen some crowds be a little mean to the band, but not to the point of spitting. In fact i don't even really remember the football games... only that we'd perform and look for the best looking football player on the opposing teams side and yell bow-chika-wow-wow at them... (Thats what happens when you put the Low Brass Girls in one distinct area LOL!
  6. OUCH i think my brain just came out of my ear! Lol Mad props to you i wouldn't have even thought of the judging system like this...
  7. But i bet they had one fun time making sure EVERYONE was PERFECTLY in step... because i bet a judge in the box is like 'where is the white leg outta time?' but i do give them massive props for being able to pull it off. Also Cavalier hats are pretty spiffy... I also like the Bluecoats/ Phantom style Helmet look... IDK its just awesome to me. Maybe cause its different than just plain old Shakos.
  8. @ Hendrickson We don't march T-bones... But our BariEuphabones/ Tubas make our Low Brass we march 22 Baritones (and Trombones) and 2 Euphs and have approx. 5 or so alts. The Euphs are normally reserved for the Bass Trombones to keep the lower sound in their ear (Sorta ). The only reason we have the 2 Euphs is because the first year the school was opened (only like 5 years ago) They only had 2 or three Baritone players so we kept the euphs, and just added on random baritone brands (We have Jupiter and Yamaha). Low brass #'s 16 Trombones 12 Baritones (I think) 11 Tubas (Somewhere around that number)
  9. I march Euph @ Hendrickson... Small Car is almost an Understatement ... I march a Dynasty Euph, and it doesn't like small cross through moves. (Plus, it has its own gravitational pull LOL!) BBUUUTTT... The one thing that i've seen with SOME Woodwind players switching over... The urge to keep their teeth together (Like they're still on a reed) Open ur teeth and i'll be happy
  10. I still haven't given my BD a blank CD so i still have not heard it *Massive Sadness*
  11. Its okay Danpod... You've done better than I ever will in pacman, and I salute you
  12. Last year in our 'Music Is...' show we had 2 chairs on EVERY Yard line... and they moved from a big X to this little zig zag pattern... Well... When someone would misplace said chair (Even by a half of a step) Someone else was guaranteed to eat some turf. So we had multiple injuries from that though the two that stick out the most to me was... 1. ) At the Lonestar Preview last year one person in my section misplaced the chair and someone kicked it over. A judge decided he was going to move the chair... BUT he didn't get there in enough time and one of our mello players was marching backwards and PLOP! The Judge got the chair afterward and left a comment sorta like "Wow who woulda thought chairs would be so deadly?" 2.) At a football game a Chair wasn't set right got tipped over and a flute player tripped over it. Then the same flute player tripped over ANOTHER chair and in the "Mass of Humanity" cross through move a Mello player tripped over one of the chairs and rolled on the ground but got back up. I remeber we watched the mello player disappear and re-appear NUMOROUS times... (With zoom... slow motion... the whole 9 yards.) In the end... I think everyone had a knee problem due to a misplaced chair, but everyone kept truckin'... 'cept for the flute she ahd to sit out a few games and stuff but she is fine now.
  13. Lol... I moved so fast to pick it up i think i gave myself whiplash If i ever post my version my dad actually zoomed in on me and you can hear him laughing.
  14. Notice.... Whoever has a state year is on here more... because most are concerned with what people are saying about their bands... except for last year with the Hendrickson break out... I think thats because we got bored
  15. Trombones have the same music throughout the state (That includes differencing in Classes such as 4A and 5A) BUT Bass Trombones and Tenor Trombones have different music. If thats not clear (Because i worded it weird) i can explain it.
  16. Uniforms with the two different colored sleeves... Kinda like ours at Hendrickson... It provides more opportunities for visual stuff... but i think the two different colored pant legs is a bit over the top. Its kinda Trippy when you watch them march. You are automatically drawn to their legs because if ones black and ones white it looks like one leg is randomly hovering every other step. That and if you march bad or out of technique its REALLLLY obvious.
  17. State Finals This year.... My Euph. has a pretty wacked out vaccum in the first valve slide so on the "And Down" We put our horns on our back hip and My first Valve slide flew about 4 steps to my right. But I got it back As for tripping on a random prop... We had chairs in our show last year, and so many people ended up tripping on them and now a vast majority of our band has knee problems.
  18. Sorry i didn't mean my comment to be taken in a complining way... I'm sure you'll do alright
  19. Ouch performing at 10:15... man... no sleep... I thought there was only 24 bands, and i thought we were seventh but hey i cant argue with 8th No biggie... I wish every one the best of luck at state!
