but thats where the hard work comes in... you have to get all of your band to play when your this size. It took us for ever to get everyone to play but what it think what helped us how are show has so many loud impacts in it and we have a great low brass to fill up that sound All but 2 of our Tubas are Juniors and the other 2 are seniors.. and we have an amazing trombone section as far as volume and sound goes. Trombones are a naturally loud instrument and when you have 9 great players your goin to get some sound.

I just wanna let you know we (Dickinson) have 123 people in our band including color guard.. and we had the most 1st place votes in music... out of the whole contest. 2 in prelims and 1 and finals. Total of 3. Poteet had 2 first place votes in Muisc and they were both in finals. So as far as music goes.. size dosnt matter as much as you think, just takes alot more work.

aww your no fun.... jk Well in the topic of Blending of Sounds our band has a problem with a few Trombone Players one in Particular who likes to Try to be a hero... He cut his lip today so he couldnt play and i band director told him to stop....Hopefully it will still be cut Tuesday... so the Good trombone players will be heard along with the rest of the band... as one.
