actually yeah haha.. At the drum corps I marched in the summer of 07, we had this mellophone-tech. He thought I looked like one of his friends named who was name Mark Friese (Freeze) and so he just started calling me freeze and every one in the corps picked up on it. It got to the point where people didn't even know me by my real name . I'll hear the word 'freeze' at random parts in the day now and think someone's calling my name.. It's funny.

Oh don't be sorry it's all good, I just wanted to help avoid a fight.

I have the SAME PROBLEM w/alldays moveins.. my school don't get out 'till like June 6th. Yet another reason why I am not marching. You should tell your percussion friends to march an open corps somewhere. Just b/c there name isn't listed under the World Corps, doesn't mean the corps isn't good. Just the mere fact that you marched somewhere before is a GOLDEN TICKET into a world corps. You go to Sherman? Liked your show. You lucky dogs have this huge 16 wheeler haha

Yeah definately. I'm trying to get in before they 180- they just got a lot of their 'championship' staff back, plus Nick Williams, so heck yeah bro. But with college and me being broke, I don't even know if I can march next summer. I'd love nothing more, but y'know... I actually would enjoy blue stars as well as blue knights--- they both have powerful hornlines. However, no two hornlines have made my ears bleed happiness like SCV and Phantom...

but it would've been more FUNNN that way... likke imagine.. "holy god they didn't do that at area!!!"

you know what I think?? Blue Stars!!! Jeeeeezz those guys had an AWESOME HORNLINE THIS YEAR.. Academy should not have beaten them in semis. period.. No, I did not march Blue Stars.

Here's my take: You have to understand - these guys, when actually playing and for the most part, were moving @ 185+ bpm the ENTIRE SHOW. First off JESUS CHRIST!!! that's not easy!! second, I think the show design was brilliant. Instead of 135ish kids huffing and puffing after tearing **** across a football field, we have 135ish kids that can't be heard huffing and puffing b/c of the vocals. It took the audience attention off of the beaten down hornline/drumline, and on to "where in the heck is that voice coming from"? Now thirdly, give 'em a chance, do you know how frequently corps shows can change? You saw them July 21st in SA, but finals was the second week of August. I mean geez, the corps I marched - we changed our ENTIRE SECOND HALF OF OUR CLOSER between prelims and semis (yeah, div2/3, but still). And after all that, I still must claim this: I hate vocals. They take away from the show. But the Caddies did a PHENOMONAL JOB in pulling it off... except for the homosexuality of the actual lyrics... It's funny, next time you watch the show do this: after the narrators complete a sentence, add "because I'm ****" at the end. Hours of sheer entertainment.

Good luck at SCV in 08 if you make it in. There's some good guys there. Sadly though (but not for me ).. Nick Williams is @ Madison... horray!

I appreciate the apology. I guess I overlooked the fact that it could have been underclassmen. I very much respect the fact that you stood up for your band. Hats off to you, sir.

the more and more all of these Sherman kids get cocky and insolent, the more and more I lose respect for their program.. I thought band kids were raised better than this, ESPECIALLY Sherman kids. Now don't get me wrong, I understand your excitement, but please.
