This makes me worry about the Cavaliers... they have had really small improvements so far... I hope they can pull through

Ah, those are two more awesome parts. Forgot to add them to my list....

...wow, now thats a lineup -
I know just flat out asking which was your favorite would make for a really hard decision, as I have so many of them, as I am sure the rest of you do haha. Here are some of my favorites 1. SCV 2000 - End of the Ballad 2. Cavies 02 - End of the Ballad 3. Phantom Regiment 89 - French Horn chord before the ballad, Chord resolution before the drum feature 4. Phantom Regiment 96 - Chord before the ballad, Chord progression during the final movement 5. Cavies 04 - End of the Ballad 6. Blue Devils 2000 - End of the Ballad

I know two years ago Lee beat us at Region, but we beat them at Area and State, so I agree with what has been. Its all about the judge's taste. -

I was held to 2nd chair for 3 years because of politics, I would rather not talk about it. -
I am just impressed with them this year so far. They are hanging in there with the best of them. Kinda like the Madison Scouts did last year, but I have a feeling the Bluecoats are here to stay for awhile.

Go get Phantom Regiment 96 at DCI Season Pass, lol Part 1. I am not incredibly fond of the confidence of the high brass here. They are very soft half the time, or maybe its because the woodwinds were just sheerly overpowering them. Excellent low brass. At times, they were almost too loud, but good job. That is an accomplishment in itself. I wish they would play the music more legato. Ending the notes so soon destroys some of the emotion within the piece. I think the trumpets were the weakest section in this group. The woodwinds massacred their parts, and when the trumpets played it was mediocre at best. There were a couple of spacing errors that I saw, except when it got cluttered, then you could tell something was out of place. Overall pretty good. Could have been better of course, but putting a show like that on the field takes talent. Part 2. The timing between the tubas and percussion was a little off. Sloppy trumpet feature for sure. The trumpets once again showing lack of ability. There are a few spacing errors within the woodwinds I see. Drill got kind of sloppy near the end, but it looks like they recovered, so thats good. Overall, the 1st half seemed stronger than the 2nd, probably because of the woodwinds in the 1st were more predominant. They tried to put some more pressure on the trumpets near the end to add some excitement, but the trumpets couldn't execute.

Its also been a couple days since the Cavalier's last show, I am interested to see their score in the next show.

I will be going to the DCI show in Midland. I still think I am the only hardcore drum corps fan in the Midland area, please prove me wrong lol.

From the recaps, it looks like the Blue Devils Colorguard is really kickin it up.

Too bad I already have a commitment this summer .
