i'm gonna go with no. i play tuba, but yesterday at USSBA cen-tex preview, I saw probably the most talented timpani player that isnt a professional ever with hendrickson. i hardly know anything about percussion, and my friend who is a percussionist was sitting next to me, both of us were awe struck when we heard him play.

i was gonna say... i thought last year was the first ever centennial contest. was a great contest lol. longer bus ride to frisco than to state from good ol drip

I gotta say, I don't really care about a judges opinion, but of course when you do well it is a great feeling. Take Velvet Knights 1988 for example. That was a great show, and the crowd LOVED it, but the judges gave them 11th in finals, which is great, but not the best. My friends and I still talk about that show, performed almost 20 years ago because it was a crowd pleaser. But, that's just my opinion

because the hackers wish it to be. Why is marching season over? (for me at least)
