all three of our bands got straight one's we got sweepstakes for the 20 somethenth year in a row for marching and concert combined =] we played semper fidelis fiesta del pacifico strange humors again dont rember wut the lower two bands played. and for our last concert honors band played semper fi again soaring with john williams (student condudcted peice) vesuvius AWESOME! stars and stripes forever, tradition

the march you could be thinking of is "Semper Fidelis" we're playing it right now it has the snare thing then a cool trumpet part that lasts for a while. but i could be wrong but that's what it sounds like to me. but yeah my school Poteet High School is playing Semper Fidelis by sousa Fiesta Del Pacifico by nixon Strange Humors by mackey idk what our two lower bands are playing we have uil tomorrow at forney high school

yeah turns out were not gunna get to play it for uil or senior honor concert(last concert) were sticking with strange humors which i dont mind at all=]]

i dont want to sound like im bragging by repping my school but you cant forget Poteet, we've made it to state every possible year since 1990 and not to mention back to back state titles but Area C used to be the toughest Area around 4A and 5A may be not so much 5a as 4a, but then it changed when uil redrew the lines last year taking sherman away(3rd place 05) and wylie moving 5a our 5a is pretty good as well duncanville has won it numerous times and and top 3 countless times im hoping since ill be off to college next year i can go to the compition

actually our director said today were going to try out new marches so we might or might not play sempers

so now that tmea is over were playing Semper Fidelis by Sousa Fiesta Del Paffico by Nixon Strange Humors- Mackey for uil im glad were playing fiesta i wish we could have done it for tmea as well but not enough time to get it in with the others and we changed march's but kept strange=]]] and for some reason i cant stop listening to O magnum mysterium

yeah our director and mackey are pretty good friends 2 years ago we played redline tango and it cost us $1500+ to play it and he liked the way we played it so he let us play strange humors free of charge i dont even know if we had to buy the score and now he wants to play that new kingfish peice or whatever its called so i hope we get to play it for our last concert cuz im graduating this year and i really like his music and yeah commando is probably the best march ive gotten to play

for marching we did "cityscapes" mixture of songs 07 uil state champs for TMEA we played commando march- barber shadow rituals-markowski concerto for percussion and winds-ziek o mangum mysterium rustic dance- grangier? <=== commisoned just for our band, world premire of the piece for band shortcut home-wilson strange humors- mackey for uil were playing commando march fiesta del paffico- nixon and i think were keeping strange in for our third peice

i would have to say mine is o magnum mysterium strange humors played it for the tmea honor band concert this year
