I'm confused. Here is the finals performance order: Hendrickson Legacy Friendswood Newman Smith Hays Poteet Dripping Springs Waxahachie Wakeland Forney Are the first 5 finalist spots reserved for the bottom 5 bands in prelims, and the last 5 spots for the top 5 bands in prelims? Or is it completely random? Congratulations to everyone today btw. GO BAND!

Legacy got new white gauntlets and white plumes. It goes really well with the red and black uniform and it brightens them up a bit, if that makes any sense lol. Gives it more pop than the old black ones. Looks good.

How are the predictions going to work since there wasn't a finals round?

I just have a little tick about Colleyville Heritage. Last season they went to this contest and barely missed finals, they were pretty far off from making finals at San Antonio, and they didn't make semi-finals at Grand Nats. In all of these contests, there were bands in which Colleyville would have regularly been ahead of. I'm not trying to bash the organization or anything, I'm just wandering what they have this year to come back. Anyone know of what their show is or how they're doing this year?

According to their calendar, The Woodlands aren't going to the Arlington regional anymore. I really didn't expect them to go to both Houston and Arlington. This also frees up a possible spot in finals at Arlington....but barely eases the tension of that contest! (it's still a pretty ridiculous line up! lol) I'm really looking forward to it.

This contest looks very intense and I'm very excited about it! If I end up going, I'm looking forward to seeing Lafayette. They got 5th or 6th last time they were here in '07? I can't remember though. Should turn out to be a great contest!!

Okay there are 47 bands in the Arlington prelims. So how many are they going to take to finals? and how is that calculated?

I do know the dialogue was done by the announcer that at Birdville, John Pollard. I hope that's how it'll always be. (the dialouge being recorded by the announcer)

Legacy's show features the trumpets quite a bit. Did anyone like the technical trumpet feature in the last movement, "Forcefield"?

Not to mention, Legacy is in it's 2nd year of existance. That is breaking a record I believe, as the only second year school to ever make a BOA Regional finals. (Reagan did it in three years)

Wow. You are truely clueless i guess. lol. Mr. Todd Dixon is going to transform "That Wylie Band" into a marching band beast! I have been under the direction of Todd Dixon before he went to Wylie, believe me, this man is musical and marching genius! He and the Mansfield Summit Band was the state runner up in the 2006 area finals. Not many people can do this with a six year old school! Expect to see "That Wylie Band" "powerhousing" at state soon.
