I was kind of surprised too, since I heard the director was obsessed with trumpets too. There was a trumpet solo too, but it was cut...

There's a flute solo in the first movement, an alto saxophone solo in the second, a flute duet in the third, and a flute solo in the fifth. The first flute solo is supposed to be played on the pan flute... I wish my section leader luck in that endeavor. XD

I know the show for my new school is called "Forgotten People," but I don't know anything else... I'm excited to be marching in Texas, though.

Heh, I was wondering if I was the only one that had seen one of the pieces before. I was going to pick one of them for Solo&Ensemble when I was in Georgia, but I chose something else and my friend picked it instead. It's a shame I didn't stick with that one, but it's the easiest one anyway...

I lived in Texas my freshman year, but I didn't try out for region then. I moved away, and came back to Texas a few months ago. I'm a senior now, so I hope I'll do well. Texas is a lot different than Georgia.

I thought it was great too. I still can't get over the disappearing pencil scene.

I live in the outskirts of San Antonio. The weather doesn't seem too bad today, but there was a tornado by my mom's job yesterday.
