I don't know if they should be allowed. Because DCI is a hard sound and harsh and could be hurt by woodwinds. But I do wish they were allowed. I play saxophone and would love the chance to march something like DCI but it won't ever happen :[

I thought so too :] so back to the topic in 5A who do ya'll see as being true contenders? BELL,MARCUS,ect. will they still be at the top? Any rising bands you see that may be able to take their throne!? And also on another topic. band politics. Do you think if you don't have "the name and reputation" you don't have as good of a chance as winning as say BELL even if your show is up to par with theirs. just wanting honest opinions thanks!

true true. I'm just saying since our camp doesn't start until august 4th and our show isn't even completed yet I won't be sharing mine! hmm, it will be more of a suprise? lol

okay i'd like to rephrase my comments on earlier about my own school. Because now that I look on it, it seems a little immature. So What I was trying to get across is that my school will be working harder than ever this upcoming year.( As will every school I am sure.) And that I cannot wait to see the competition and have fun this year. Good Luck to everyone as marching camps start up!!! -trey

i don't think people should be sharing their show information on here quite yet. I'd love to tell about ours, but it just seems one of those topics that shouldn't really be discussed until it is unveiled at a game our something. Wouldn't want to make directors mad!!

my sophmore year we went to chicago that was a very cool trip! this next year (my senior year) we are going to las angelos i cant wait! should be fun

yeah i remember that contest. i go to summit and we placed 5th. :[ i believe we were 1/5th a point behind wylie. and about 1 point seperated all the bands from 1st. it's a VERY tough contest. and definitely one of the most entertaining!

yeah AMEN to that. i attend mansfield summit and I know we are sure shooting for it after getting alternate to state the year before last. It's a very tough area though, and no one has a shoe in. Going to be a great year.
