Oh the good old days... I dont think anything will beat that lineup in 2000. All 8 bands were the best I've ever seen. I wish Westfield made finals so I could watch their 2000 show again, I wish someoen would put it on youtube!

Placement in area means nothing at state. Area C this year was Rowlett, Berkner, Duncanville, Coppell. Rowlett didnt make finals and Coppell and Duncanville did better than Berkner at state. Its different judges, different time, different stage.

Bell has made top 2 for 10 years (6 times) not 12. 2002 was an all DFW too, and 2000 and 2004 were off by 1 each. Also this year DFW bands had 1,2,3,5,6,8 60%

I would like to see a band win who has never before... There are many bands who go consistently to state, who different would you like to see win?

Good Job to all bands. Rowlett played nice and marched well, I just didnt care for it as a person in the stand. Judges perspective its good. Im not into carnival music. Berkner played and marched well. I cant stop humming the music, it gets stuck in your head! Coppell and Duncanville were the same as they always are. Pretty boring, but great players and marchers. Sachse should not play christmas music lol

Funny how Churchills marching scores saved thier butt in prelims.. and they were dead last in finals.. hmm. Sad to hear berkner at 11th place... that place always sucks

Can I just say something to cheer everyone up? look at coppell.. 3rd in the state. Im glad they advanced, what a great way to show off a band program. Now arent you happy they got to go vs. the whole 'they broke the rules'

crazyjake just shut up... stop being bitter. Maybe if rowlett wouldnt have had an ego thinking they would get first again in finals they might have made state. you cant blame it all on a little sound board or somehting done by the director. Would you rather see somehting bad happen with the sound board and the crowd LAUGH at all the kids who put in all the EFFORT and HARD WORK all season? No... he simply fixed the issue and was done. Its not all about winning, and it would show more class to Rowlett if you just shut up and let it be. You cant change peoples minds and its done. its over... rowlett will try again in 2 years

That is so F'ed up to stick Area C with Region 4 who has NO 5A bands... and Region 20 with all the sucky Dallas schools. well then, 1. Duncanville 2. Berkner 3. Coppell A-Rowlett Easily can take any of the spots above: Lake Highlands or Sachse

Am I the only one who wasnt very fond of Hebrons show? They had somewhat ok music/visual but not that great IMO. didnt get the theme with the eyes either. Best sounding bands where Marcus Berkner and Cedar Park. Visual Marcus and CP. Legacy was by far a crowd favorite. Kinda made me like a school girl again. I loved how the trumpets used the mutes during that one section. That was the coolest sound Ive ever heard. I would like to see more from this band and it will not be easy, but they can push and survive. They have excellent potential. But each band has to show great attention to detail from music, to even making the white "tents" in a straight line lol

That doesnt matter, bands beat bands who beat them the night before... heck even at prelims. anything can change.

It would be cool to see Berkner, CP or Coppell take it.

People dont question other people about their predictions. Who knows Newman Smith could show up and just win it all. Its all in fun, so go predict

I can see 12 of these bands making finals easy, but only 10 spots to fill. Not to mention the other bands that could easily poke their head into finals. Finals for sure: Marcus - one of the best bands right now, so def. finals for them. Berkner - usual BOA finalist, and UIL Cedar Park - BOA and UIL sucess And any other 7 of these: Fossil Ridge Colleyville Heritage Martin Lewisville Newman Smith Leander Coppell Hebron Mansfield

Berkner has it. No clue who will be 2-10, never really seen them before
