I understand your frustration with neanderthal behavior at games. If it gives you more cheerful dreams at night, visualize my experience watching the football team from my daughter's school doing a similar encroachment on the field during a performance. We tried to warn the young man that he was standing way too close to the colorguard. She did her job, spun her flag, and he went down...he missed the second half. Don't mess with the band...they carry weapons!

Duncanville will definitely be the place for us to see complete (or nearly) shows all around. Should be a great day. Guaranteed, though, that even if Marcus fields their entire show, there will be things that do not appear until Indie.

UIL officially replaced Poteet with Forney at the 12:00 march time.

Message to UIL officials (which I feel fairly sure they will never see) - taking 5 freakin' days to decide how to enforce your own rules is abusive the school in jeopardy and offensive to the alternate. Man up, UIL! It's either a rule, or it's a suggestion!

Anyone have a way to see the judges sheet from this area - just saw Area F judges sheet and it cleared up a lot of questions.

UIL may have more "gray" areas to take into consideration thatn you think. There are also schools who use volunteer colorguard members - not enrolled in bands - to augment their show. They may not be on the rolls, but they have an impact on the performance; much as a student running the soundboard does. Where do you draw the line?

This is the second mention I've seen of Poteet's potential disqualification. For those of us not quite in the loop, could someone please elaborate?!

Don't be too shocked about Hebron going to Nats - at the Area B Competition last Fall, they beat LD Bell. Can't wait to see them take the next step.
