Can anyone tell me if finals performance order is always the reverse of placement order?

Absolutely agree. To hear the other band directors, metronomes and full band warm ups really ruined some big moments for some of the bands. How the bands on the field could concentrate on their own performances, I can't imagine. Have been a spectator at a lot of competitions, but have never observed distractions from other bands warming up being this bad.

Does anyone have results for the Plano drumline competition?

You know, Cedar Park did amazing things this past season. And while Mr. Spicer is no doubt a great director and inspired you all to your very best, remember it is YOU and your BANDMATES who marched that amazing show that rocked the rafters at the Alamodome. Show leadership, be positive and REFUSE to lower your standards. You'll be amazed what might happen. You know that Spicer would tell you the same thing.

I am a band mom who attended Area D last night. ALL of the bands were amazing and I have no idea how you could narrow it down to just 6 for state. Congratulations to all the bands. I just wanted to say that the Connally band's show was just beautiful and aside from my kids' band (of course ) I thought your show was so entertaining and wonderful. I know you must be feeling disappointed, but you created something really wonderful and moving and you should be very proud. In the end, all of these contests come down to the opinion of a few people on any given day, and you just really have to do something that you know you can be proud of, and that makes you winners! Well done, everyone. Good luck at state!
