  1. Oh heaven forbid they actually do through theatrical reenactments of Passion! That would be too much. Only reason I thought the show would spark some form of controversy would be because of the movement's origination (in DCI not a big deal, for high school maybe). Brazoswood? Really? Hah! I had no idea! I must investigate this! I have not watched the DaVinci Code but the music sounds worth looking into. Speaking of Bell, I saw them on the UIL 2008 State finals DVD when my band went to Conroe. The music was performed excellently. -TF
  2. As controversial as this would be, I'm going to go ahead and say it. The music from Passion of the Christ would make a moving marching show. All of the traditional Middle Eastern instruments would be used, and vocals whenever it seemed right. 3. Wow! What a spectacular set of performances from everybody at Westlake!! Congratulations to all the bands that participated. I don't care what scores say, Bowie and Cedar Park are neck and neck at their level of performance. Numbers cannot separate either of the marching bands. All that counts is putting a great show on the field and that is something EVERY band had done. I saw a few shows but I wish I could have seen more. From what I was told by a number of individuals all the shows were phenomenal. Once again, congratulations to all participating bands!!
  4. Well... personally I'm not too sure why you'd call it "park and bark" and feel the need to focus on us halting "half of the show." We've been working just as hard as any other band that participated at the Westlake Competition and calling us out on these grounds that you mention undermines us a little much, does it not? And I mean, our sound, edgy? Our show is titled "On Edge," but I don't think you were alluding to that. It's cool you've got your personal opinion on us but if anything, please, keep the negitivity of your comments to yourself for future knowledge. I think that all of the bands tonight put on a really great show. I really liked seeing Round Rock right before finals ended (at least we had gotten the chance to see at least one bands perform). Aside from the shows that I could see, Bowie's closer sounded amazing from a distance, and from behind the fence , *shrugs*, and Akin's sounded phenomenal along with Dripping Springs. Too bad that's all we had gotten to hear tonight Who else had a blast enjoying the shows?
