I was once stupid enough to be running too fast across the field and I ended up completely breaking my trombone in half. The good thing is that it was fixabale and it was just my marching horn which was already a peice of junk.

I agree with nick on that one, Marcus was WAY over-ranked. I'm not saying it was bad cause all the bands that I saw were awesome. Congrats to all who performed tonight (or last night since its actually sunday now).

I dont get why everyone is riled up about what is going to happen and predicting it when I'm willing to bet a good number have not seen half the bands they are ranking and many are extremely biased to begin with, not to mention that there is still a week and a half for all the bands to improve, and each is going to improve at a different rate, it matters not how the bands did earlier, but how they will do in the alamo dome next week.

when the other band at the football game plays your bands metal shop and the whole brass section goes insane yelling at the directors so we can show up the other band

wow, that is insane...

I have found that even though I have a pretty good sound on trombone, my sound on the baritone is not near as good because the desired sound is slightly different.
