i think marcus is going to give everyone there a run for their money, that's for sure. I think marcus, LD, woodlands, and Richland can all make finals too. i think it's going to be a great texas year.

daaang... im so jealous it sounds like an awesome show.

true. but, reagan did have a school split plus staff changes. and it's not like there bad or anything. they are still making finals at BOA events. they may not be as high up as they were in let's say 2003, but give it a few years when their staff regenerates. the whole good from year-to-year comes from consitency as well as a stable program. On the point of directors, i don't think any high, state level directors will leave anytime soon. i doubt ms drinkwater is going anywhere considering she helped marcus rise to two back2back state championships or any elite director for that matter....good point, but marcus, LD, and many more great programs seem to have quite a solid foundation right now.

don't want to divulge too much about our show but it's REALLY dark...It's really awesome. quite artistic compared to what we have done in the past. plus, i think our band works a lot better with dark shows so it will be a nice change.

We had 3 make state this year for our first year in 5a All got first chair in their room. Sophomore Trumpet (he's been playing as long as college sophomores so he's quite experienced... ) Sophomore Tenor Sax Senior Eb Clarinet We also had a junior tuba that missed it by one . i felt so bad for him..... but hey 3 for our first 5a year is pretty good.

back to the metronome topic, our band has never used one at a game (for the band) but our drum majors have minimetronomes to listen to the tempo and then count us off. the weirdest thing ive seen metronome wise was one of the bands in area b finals, i think it was haltom, had their drum major clip a metronome on her ear! it was a very odd sight...
