Chuck Norris is the one and only Walker: Texas Ranger. He was also the third judge in the movie Dodgeball who got to decide if Average Joe's got to play or not. c'mon! i cant believe you live in Texas and dont know who Chuck Norris is!
well, i'm also on yearbook staff and they all make fun of me for being in band and stuff but its all cool because the jokes that they make are really funny. but i'm not a big sports person
but back to the question,
if i could turn any music into a marching show, i have always wanted to do a show with Star Wars music. it wouldnt be as cheezy as you are all thinking right now. i would have a vader and a skywalker dueling it out in the middle of the field, unless that got GE points, i dont know but i have always liked that music.
i completely agree with you. i am okay with some GE but dont like how much BOA relies on GE for their overall scoring. but thats just me and yes, i realize that that is just how BOA does it and thats fine. i just dont like it.
also, if you want to get really into it, you could write some solos for instruments that arent usually present in a marching band, i.e. english horn, oboe, bassoon, piano/keyboard parts, etc. That usually works out okay.
well, recently we have all seen the explosion of on-stage musicals turn into movies. which one are your favorites???
my would definately have to be RENT because it was such a good portrayal from the stage to the movie. the music was fantastic and i bought the soundtrack right after i saw the movie.
on the onther hand, i did not like the movie form of Phantom of the Opera. yes, it was still amazingly good and creepy, but it just wasn't the same as watching it on stage. (kinda like when you go to DCI World Championships and then you order the DVDs and its just like... whatever.)
do yall think that the mini's should have been around longer, that they dismissed them too soon? or do you like the nanos better?
there is more variety in the minis with color choices. hopefully they would have eventually given the minis a color screen, though.
