Today's the day!!! The contest has been amazing so far; so much talent concentrated into one place. Are any of you at the dome?

This is something I've been pondering for a while - what is it about area B that so ubiquitously produces excellent bands? Is it the proximity to UNT? While I agree with the popular choice for top three (Marcus, Hebron, and Bowie) I can't help but always be floored by ALL of the talent Texas puts out. There's nothing like Texas marching bands!

I'm interested to see if Argyle will maintain their position and get the 4-peat. It was a very, very close 1st place for them two years ago, and the performances are really great all around this year. Texas bands keep getting better and better!!

Dang, I wish I could be there. Birdville was always such a fun contest, and there's so much great talent there this year. I'm excited to hear about the results.
