  1. Oh, I totally agree with that. From a spectator's POV, I would much rather be at Super Regionals that at State. But that's because I love shows that are extremely visual.
  2. Hahahaha, in response to Aaron, I actually thought the same exact thing whenever I didn't see that option. Oh well. Life goes on. And yes, sometimes our directors pick juniors as well as seniors; just depends on who tries out. IMO, I think it'd always be smart to have at least one junior, that way there's always a senior who has one year of DM-ing already under their belt.
  3. jbrih13, I am so jealous that you get to play Candide, haha. Mmmmrrrrffff...concert seeeeaaasooooon....haha, poo. Sometimes I wish marching season was all year long.
  4. No, we didn't do BOA this year. And holy crap...agreeing with Aaron, the eerie singing/synth in Bell's show just blows me away. Seriously, during State, when Bell started doing their "pre-performance" while they announced Bell's show and stuff, I had so many goosebumps and chills and all that crazy stuff. I loved it.
  5. Mmm...yeah, I don't like white uniforms. Granted, sometimes they look really cool, but when not everyone is all clean it looks too dirty sometimes. But hey! Whatever works! Maybe they can hand out those pen-sized Clorox things to all the band kids, haha.
  6. hahaha, I agree with tnilli. Watching finals was...alright. Sure we were all disappointed with not making finals, but a lot of us were excited to be able to see many great bands perform for us. We've had MANY weird time slots this year so we haven't gotten to see a lot of marching shows...so I was happy that the freshmen could finally see what we actually do, and how cool it looks. Plus, I finally got to see BELL! Haha. Though it wasn't their full show, it was still amazing. I had chills the whole time. Marcus was amazing as well. I loved everything they did. Overall, State was lots of fun. congrats to all the bands! and I'm glad to see that they are awarding both Duncanville and Churchill third place.
  7. I hope Bell doesn't have to edit their show for UIL...I'll cry if I can't see the whole thing at State, haha.
  8. As badly as I'd love to see a video of Bell, I want to see it LIVE. Of course, I doubt that'll happen, but one can dream...
  9. because I am too! haha. why can't I ever keep my room clean?
  10. Holy crap. I want to see Bell's show, like, right now. No, seriously. Bell, come perform at my house! I'll give you guys cookies!
  11. I am utterly in shock at finals. Not in a bad way. Just totally against what I predicted. Which is actually really cool because I love it when that happens sometimes, ya know? But a HUGE congrats to everyone!! Remember, we are all winners in life
  12. Wow. Totally unpredictable, like I said. Not what I was expecting (and I don't mean that in a negative way at all), but hey! It happens. Congrats to all the bands, though!! Can't wait to see State.
  13. Haha, I'm on my way!! Coming to a house near you....
  14. I haven't seen their show this year yet. Hrrrrm. and haha, I just realized why the forums are so dead... ...EVERYONE IS IN SA. Bahaha. *cries all alone*
  15. Well...State is literally just around the corner, and I was wondering if there was going to be a MeetMe there? Oh please oh please say yes!
  16. Okay, just got the last text. Thanks! haha. so this whole TxB live thing makes me excited. I feel like I'm really there in the dome, listening to the resul...yeah, maybe not, but close 'nuff.
  17. Haha, okay, my charter bus is being delivered as we speak so I will be there momentarily... and I agree! I thought Bowie was going to be in. Hrrm.
  18. YAY I GOT MY TEXT!!!! Music: Marcus GE: Woodlands Visual: Bell 3rd: Reagan 2nd: Woodlands 1st: L.D. Bell Finalists Reagan Westfield Westlake Richland Clearbrook Hebron Churchill Marcus L.D. Bell Haltom Cedar Park Woodlands. and P.S. okay! I'll rent out a charter bus, and we'll swing by and pick up all the TxB-ers who wanna go. I'll be at your house in 5 minutes. BE READY.
  19. Hahah, okay good! I thought maybe I was left out and was the only one without a text. Agggghhhhh. Okay, that's it. I'm driving over to SA right now. Who's coming? hahaha.
  20. Any more results?! I'm dying here, on the edge of my seat! haha. No, really though.
  21. Are you SERIOUS? Ahhh!
  22. I'm eagerly awaiting a text message for TxB Live!
  23. Baaaahahaha to both the Power Rangers and Robots comments. Goodness. I want to be best friends with you funny people. As for Americas.....that's got to be a horrible feeling. That's the one thing I hate about UIL. Usually, by the time that someone is found ineligible, they've already performed in whatever activity they're doing and it's too late to retract it. Sigh. I mean, yeah, the student should have known, or even the directors...but still. If only UIL had some sort of method of checking students in or something before they performed...ah...only in a perfect world. The good thing at least for Bel Air is at least they've been practicing for SA. I would've hated for them to have to go to State unprepared with only a few days of practice.
  24. hahaha, oh Owasso '04. Their dance break was so cool. I basically agree with the general feel around with the lists that have gone up...I'm sure most of us can somewhat agree which band programs in Texas are. I cannot WAIT to see State this year, though. Ahhhh. It's going to be amazing.
  25. Okay, this is actually kinda scary because I have been on a Candide fix for the past few weeks...haha... As previously stated, Make Our Garden Grow is our Opener this year. I love it, haha. Probably because I love the actual operetta. But I do love the Overture as well...it's so fun, and there's so many cool parts in it. Ahhh. I don't know! Anything Candide is great. Haha. I love that operetta.
