For the first time in forever [haha], we do NOT have a flute solo! Oh my goodness. It excites me, heehee. We only have one solo feature this year, to my knowledge, which is a clarinet solo....pretty cool stuff actually, it sounds so cool. We have quite a few section features, though. Especially an amazingly awesome sax feature. Look out for it.

I always wanted to do a Kingdom Hearts show. I thought that would be wicked, and that there would be TONS of stuff to do for visual. Plus, the music is just enchanting. Video Game music is some of the most catchy stuff out there.

mm...I'm trying out for band president. Woop. No idea if I'll get it, haha! I guess we shall see. I was going to run for Drum Major but then realized that I wouldn't enjoy it because I LOVE to march. Seriously. I respect DMs and all that, but I would much rather be running around the field and doing cool visuals (especially since I'm on the cymbal line) rather than stand on a podium. but that's just me. wahoooooo!

Just to add some more about Spring and what Twomey (springbassliner26) said, I have my connections (cough cough) and I actually have our show music already for the West Side Story theme. Of course, it is NOT official that this is what we're doing. Our directors are still in the development mode, and anything goes...anywho... I'm not saying anything else though! You'll just have to wait for BOA...or UIL...or whatever else we're competing in. Haha.

I agree...I mean, first off, a band forum and then a post about a fantasy marching band game and then replying to the forum! yep we're all nerds here.

at Spring, our exemptions is... freshman/sophomore = exempt up to 4 exams junior/senior = exempts all exams you need an 80 semester average to exempt (in whatever class you're exempting), you can only have 2 excused abscences (no unexcused), and you can't have any discipline stuff. well, i think thats all the rules. haha. our grading system is like twizzlaar's. anyone want to be my hero and put up Spring 2005?

we (Spring) got 23rd. man, that was a big shock to us. but now that we look back, it's pretty obvious why we didn't make finals. GE, GE, GE. i wish i knew what we got penalized for. .1, hmhm. *shrug* next year. it was nice being able to see finals anyway, since we weren't able to see ANY shows this season (except for what we saw at games). i'm glad we were beat by what was in finals. those shows deserved to be in finals ah, I loved Westfield's show (especially the ending) except the repetition of last yr's music kinda bugged me. nice show nonetheless. Reagan was nicely done, as usual the ending set was an interesting surprise, though i thought you guys were going to surprise us with some cool trick or who knows what all of finals was great, to say the least. everyone else has already said what i wanted to say, so i won't be repetitive
