No it's not. -
Hey Cadets, You're pushing it... Regards, 04 Crown

I didn't really like their show... It might have to grown on me. Cadets, on the other hand... their show will never grow on me. Bluecoats, I like. Crown, I'm looking forward to seeing at SA.

I agree. I was at this last camp and was called back to the next one. I will say that the drumline did sound good. I'm not exactly posting my predictions though.

funny audition stories
Lustra.exe replied to Nancy08's topic in Everything Music: Marching, Concert, Auditions and more
haha, that was uh... interesting. me and alex thought we'd be cool and be dramatic after our timpani etudes as well. the way he muted the timpani. lol... good times. -
So, how'd everyone do at region auditions?
Lustra.exe replied to M1KH4J157's topic in General Off-Topic
well with 60+ percussionist trying out, phase two is 18. but they only advance two to area. so i would say that percussion is probably the most cut-throat. -
Funny thing

hahahaha! i think im the only one that got that. EDTI: upon further review, it has come to my attention that i was NOT the only one. but that's funny though. -

hahaha why did you tell her here when you could've told her in person?... lol I think with four mallets, too many people have the "Iraqi death grip", in the words of Mr. Jyring. It causes way more tension and friction than necessary. Basically, loosen up. See yall tomorrow.

We do participate in WGI but there is also another circuit of events called TCGC. Texas Color Guard Circuit. It's only on the state level though. Basically the equivalent to UIL and BOA. And I believe they have the same divisions as WGI. For example, Independent Open, Scholastic Open, A, AA, AAA. There arn't any WGI regionals in Texas this year... I remember there being some though in the past. I don't think it's exactly BIG or trendy, but is getting more so each year. Connally has a marching indoor ensemble.
