  1. I believe Lorena hs/ms winter drumline had quite a few either last year or two years ago... I'm thinking like 8-10. It was alot. and they were good with rediculous runs, but they didn't march the whole show.
  2. 1)I agree 100%. 2) I'll take your word for it.
  3. No, people were sceptical because that was the first year they aloud electronics and people were sceptical of the cavies buying into it. From what I remember, the show theme seemed pretty cool.
  4. ummm... yeah. The words "World Champion" don't come to mind with a show concept like this... But we'll see how it goes. If anyone can do it, they can.
  5. Yeah, there is still one more year left in contract with the current ones.
  6. i didn't see you there! were you with the pit?? you'll have to find me next time.
  7. haha
  8. no no no... untill you've seen our WDL uni's from '05... omg.. freakin rediculous. one word... spandex. pretty funny though, to look back on.
  9. 200 - WDL probably faster this year though.
  10. im not a bass drummer but i'd thought i'd say this. have yall seen that Vic Firth practice pad for basses. it's really cool. yall should check it out.
  11. you're an okie [oklahoma] arn't you
  12. more like, what cool show conceptSSSS if they do the trilogy, it will be epic. !
  13. Im in the ping pong club... UIL has nothing to accommodate us though, unfortunately. we just play for fun after school. we do have a sponser and stuff though. so it's not just a whatever.
  14. pun intended??? lol another thing i saw was when this horn player was walking all creepy like to the endzone at the end of the show, he/she [probably a he] was about to pass a judge and as soon as he passed just directly stared at the judge and got like | | that close to the judges face, and kept walking.
  15. it'll deffinantly be a good show taking into account that they had 150 first year marchers this year. next year they'll have that many juniors.
  16. Analogy: NFL [Playoffs] : BOA NCAA [bCS] : _____ ... yep, i said it.
  17. yes. i would expect that is why their show is the way it is.
  18. COME ON! SCV 2004 - Double Beat that's it. no other cadence even exists. im a fan of Ditty too. even though the tempo has some ISSUES!
  19. yes! thank you. i thought i was the only one! favorite mugglecaster?
  20. [quote name='G'townPIT' date='Nov 2 2006, 08:11 PM'] Like having four snares automatcally goes against you?? Add some scoops and you'll be alright. btw, they added a fifth, he had a hurt leg but it's healed. And yes, it's just as clean. [/quote] no no. it doesn't! sorry, I should have made myself a little more clear. I'm just saying that the more snares you have the more impressive it is. but clean is clean no matter where you go. I'm a big fan of yalls drumline btw. ^_^
  21. woah... calm down buddy. -Have you seen their show? Because if you have, then you would know that they play all kinds of notes through out the entire show. You would also know, having seen their show, that they move... that's kind of the point of marching band. Marching [implied moving] and playing at the same time. -I'm pretty sure there is no percussion caption in UIL. -Yes, they stand still in one of their extended drum breaks. maaaaybe two of them. Watch a drum corps. Many many of the best stand still during their batterie rams. -They weren't "trying" to play rolls. They were... clean. One thing that stood out to me is that they're playing the entire show. They have a lot of notes through and through. They're solid. The only thing going against them is that they have four snares, but I'm sure if you added a fifth they'd be just as clean. They deserved it.
  22. yeah! Is that for real? That is cool. White though?
