So i applied to the Summer Bridge Program that Texas State offers. What it is is that you get to take 2 college classes for free for a month, get 6 hours of credit and live in the dorms. This is all free if my application is accepted but i wanted to march drum corp. Suggestions??

I dont know why he was disqualified. Our BD didnt really give much explanation.

Well one of the tenor saxes in my school got first chair district in the region band audition. When it came for the second round, someone was disqualified and since he was the alternate, he got to audition in the second round. He was only given like a 15 minute notice before the audition too. Well so he auditioned and low and behold he got second chair first band. So now he gets to move on to the third round of auditions. Has that ever happened to anyone before???

We dont have chairs but i have been in my top band since my sophmore year. Since we dont have chairs, people are given a chance to play first part. Also, since i play euphonium, we dont really have different parts, it only applies to the high brass and the woodwinds.

Does a band falling apart counts??? We, seguin, were a really good band. We used to be good but ever since the 2004 show, we havent been able to bounce back from it. It was the hardest musically and drill wise for us. That year was when fell off the band world.

I think what he meant was that people are not talking much about reagan as it has been in previous years. Like last year no one was really talking about ld bell until their surpirse finish at Grand nationals and at the martin competition.

Hey i just saw the BA video and it seems that LD Bell had the cleaner show of the two. Individualy anyways. I dont maybe its just me.

Men last year we played molly on the shore. IT was alright. The year before last year, we played October and Blue Shades. I love Blue Shades and October since then.

Also about Reagan's show this year, i heard that the reason their show is not the normal reagan that we know is that because their head director became the director of crossmen?? I dont know if its true but that is just what i have heard.

We seguin are working on fundamentals right now. Well the low brass are, the woodwinds are sightreading and i dont know what the high brass is doing. Also we have a chamber concert instead of a band concert. We are going to have groups playing like the Wind Ensemble Brass, Wind Symphony Brass, and Symphonic Brass. All that stuff. Then after that we are going to have a Winter Concert in February, i dont know what song we are playing and then we finally get to pick our UIL pieces for this year.

Wow the forum is really slowing down alot.

I think we seguin, 8 Bass clarinets but only marches 7, we have 3 bari sax but only 2 march( the other one is a colorguard), and 4 tenor but marches 3(one is in colorguard and have a soprano/alto solo during the ballad) and double reeds we have are all in the cymbal line. So we have an all girl cymbal line and an all girl snare line. I dont think tht has ever happened before.

I thinks its because they are able to compare you more with the bands that have performed earlier than you have. Since the morning block didnt really have anyone to be compared with, their scores tend to be lower but that is not always true.

All the band parents in Seguin High are cool. Today they decorated our bandhall to wish us luck for our area competition. Also bus rides home are more fun because they give us treats. Best ever, woohoo. Also their all really cool about everything, theyre all young at heart.

You aint seen nothin' till you see the churchill guard instructor. We were walking by their warm-up at regions after our performance and their instructor was just screaming at them. Honestly, that is pretty scary considering that its before their show. I would understand if it is practice but men...

Hey if you band is good, then time doesnt matter. An example is Leander at state in 2000. They were the first band to go and no one thought that they would make it to finals that night but they were wrong because leander made it. So its just up to the bands.
