That makes sense I guess....though wasn't 2003 the year that Westfield beat Reagan by .05? I wonder what the crowd would've been in the scores were announced o.O What's the "advancement" like in Indiana? All I've managed to gather was it goes from District > Region(?) > Semi State > State Finals...or something along those lines, lol.

Thanks for posting all of this information from Indiana! It's nice to get updates from up there, lol. My only question is that why does ISSMA not release the scores?

Hasn't Marcus added the sixth movement to their show? I wonder if that would've boosted their score at all at BOA SA finals. And I'm expecting Carmel to be higher on the list then 7th, since they took off ISSMA to do BOA events (even though it seems they've only done two so far and have one left). I'd probably have them around 4/5/6th area, even though that's only a placement up It would be awesome for Texas to claim the top three spots! Though Avon's show this year is incredible (based on what I've see on youtube, lol) and could potentially ruin that idea...

Ugh, now I wish I got the chance to go to this contest >.< Were video cameras allowed into the contest so I can expect some youtube videos of some of the bands? Lol On a unrelated note, another person from Plano on the forum! There aren't that many that know about this website, lol.

Lol, I'm not surprised they looked and sounded. Their show was really good this year. I'm more surprised that they beat most of the bands from Area last year (Mansfield, Hebron, even Berkner even though they aren't in our area). Anyways, congrats to all bands there!

Lol, I just read that in the newspaper an hour ago. I thought it was funny that one of the comments was that they could be heard over a mile away, though that's believable. My band sat in the front rows of the stands at UIL Region and we got to see them perform. Best first note ever. If Plano only had one high school......that's combining eight high schools together xD And I thought Jasper was bad...

Just curious what happened in 2007? As for the actual competition i wish I could go see but its like five hours from my house and we have a competition that day xD I'll watch most of the recordings on the fan network though

My band's going earlier this year (thank god!) and I'll actually get to see other bands perform other then watching Allen through the fence on the backfield. It'll be really cool be able to see Coppell and Rowlette in person this year.

OMG THANK YOU. I've been looking all over the place for this but I was never able to find it...lol. James Horner again eh? Every time I hear/see that name I think of the Remaining, lol. (and I see it often, its on our sheet music for this year, lol) As for Cedar Park, that sounded really good for this early in the season! The camera missed most of the second movement so I can't say anything about it visually, but I think I'm gonna like Cedar Park again this year. Edit: You've got to be kidding me, right after I read what ftwdrummer posted I went to the website and it had been updated...I feel so stupid, lol.

Honestly, that's what I was thinking. Isn't that the play where a character's head gets turned into a donkey's head or something...? I'll have to check that up, lol. By any chance does anyone know what Bell's music is yet or is it still on the down low? xD I looked it up. If they're following the plot of Shakespeare's romantic comedy then it'll be a really interesting show! I'm looking forward to it.

Awesome new data base but I noticed something...Plano East band has two entries in there as Plano East HS and Plano East Senior High. :/ Just though I'd point that out. But great job on it, it's really cool

The band director hasn't been able to get a hold of the organizations to see if they could get any refunds... I'm guessing we'll get some refund but not all...and also it was canceled because 1 students out of 50,000+ in the district gets it and we get canceled the day before we leave > but these things happen I guess... Edit: It turns out our band director didn't pay the charter buses or for the condos we would be staying in yet...we're being refunded for that (or for juniors we can put it in for next year's trip). Wow...how did I miss that I just wanted to point out the Texas bands going but that thread already has it XD Sorry about the duplicate thread I guess. I was impressed by Richland at Area UiL this year, and I hope they do well at Nationals. Then three area B bands will be at National Finals =P
