After my long stint in the middle of nowhere, I have returned.
Just yesterday at UIL region-
I was sitting in the back of the bus, playing Pokemon (we're trying to bring it back), and there was a loud chorus of "Do Yo Chain Hang Low?" going on in the background. Suddenly, the voices stopped, and someone went "Daaaang!" and pointed to our immediate left. Not 4 feet from us, separated by 2 double paned bus windows, was a bus filled with Crocket's colorguard. Being high school guys on an all guy bus (our busses are separated by gender, thanks to our tuba leader freshman year), there was gawking, and finally, someone got the brains to dare me to throw them my number. We found someones stand tunes from middle school night, and I grabbed one, I think it was Land of 1000 dances. Someone found a red pen under a seat, and I got to work.
In about 5 different places, I scribbled my cell phone number on the paper, and got my friend to fold it into a paper air plane. Instead of throwing it (supplies were limited, we could only make one), I yelled to one of the girls on the bus and handed over the "message". She was immediately swarmed by a dozen other girls (I must have been looking good for once), and they started asking questions. "Is this your number? Really?" I said yes, and went back to my Pokemon game. Just as they were about to pull off, one of the girls leaned out and asked. "Whats your name?" I told her to make something up for now and I'd tell her later. Before she could say anything, they drove off.
I would have never done it if they hadn't dared me to.
Story #2-
We were in the midst of a 19 hour bus ride home from Winter Park, CO (same year as Ryan's story). My good friend George had a high powered flash light, and by high powered, I mean: You can feel the light on you from accross the bus. We tested that. Once we got done testing that, we found an old peanut butter/chocolate powerbar that was still intact and in the wrapper. We shined the light on the wrapped powerbar for about 5 minutes and then opened it. It wasnt quite melted, but it had the consistency of wet clay/playdough. We made sculptures.
If you want more details, PM me or find me on AIM (im great at sax). The story gets better, but I'm afraid to put it on.
