  1. do we know region 13 count yet?
  2. Looks like there will likely be 8 to state
  3. Woodlands, College Park, Oak Ridge, Klein, Dawson, Spring, and Pearland are all in the running. Some goods bands wont advance in this region.
  4. I think Clements could be amazing if they can get the music to really groove. Plus they have some great drill and body movement. Last video was really dirty, but tons of potential there!
  5. i think top 5 will be 1) Stephen F Austin (2nd Place at Lone Star Preview) 2) Cy Fair ( won Battle at the Berry, and finalist at Conroe BOA) 3)Brazoswood ( 2nd place at Battle at the Berry, 6th place visual performance, and 5th place music performance at Conroe BOA 4) James Taylor ( 3rd place at Battle at the Berry, and Conroe BOA finalist) 5 )Clear Brook ( 4th Place at Lone Star Preview) next 5- Clements, North Shore, Friendswood, Dickinson, Cy Falls Lots of good bands, and hopefully 7 advancing to state

  7. I think we would have to include Pearland in this list. Battle at the Berry will shed a light on some of the placements, since so many strong bands from this area will be there.
  8. Brazoswood, Pearland, TWCP, Friendswood, and Cy-Fair are my picks for bottom 5 of finals
  9. Predictions from hornrank.com 1. Ronald Reagan H.S., TX 2. Claudia Taylor Johnson H.S., TX 3. The Woodlands H.S., TX 4. Hendrickson H.S., TX 5. Winston Churchill H.S., TX 6. Brazoswood H.S., TX 7. Oak Ridge H.S., TX 8. Pearland H.S., TX 9. The Woodlands College Park H.S., TX 10. James E. Taylor H.S., TX
  10. After hearing Brazoswood at a football game tonight i was incredibly impressed by the mature and clean sound they have this early in the season. They were 9th in the honor band competition, and 2013 honor band, so I think they will at least make it to state and possibly be in the top half of the group- not sure if they have the marching chops for finals.
  11. Oak Ridge, Langham Creek, Friendswood, Brazoswood, Reagan, and Clements were all in the top 11 in the 6A Honor Band competition last year (in that order). Of these, Reagan and Brazoswood made finals at Conroe the last two years, and Oak Ridge making finals last year. Lots of great bands this year. Glad to see Friendswood competing this year!
  12. Brazoswood is having a very good year and have a great show, with clean playing and marching. College Park is also having a really great year. I think either have a chance to make finals at state. Both bands looked great at BOA. Although I think Spring is very strong I'm always surprised by their placement. Woodlands is strong as usual, but not quite up to last year- But I'm sure will be top 5 at State. Many very good bands in this area. Im amazed at the number of bands that perform at such a high level. Kudos to all the kids and teachers!
  13. looks like there will be 6 bands advancing this year
  14. i wasn't there, but sounds right. didnt expect Seven Lakes, but I havent seen their show. Congrats to Friendswood!
  15. its on this site-was posted at 9;15 txblive

  17. `TOP 5: Brazoswood Westfield S F Austin Spring Dawson
  18. Dawson and Brazoswood have some of the same music in their shows this year. Should be interesting.
  19. how about the crazy competitive lineup for Conroe?
  20. Actually are F had 2 last time: Woodlands and spring, with Brazoswood placing 11th in prelims.
