You wouldn't happen to have the full state contest results from 1981-82?I've looked everywhere for them.The top 5 in 4A finals were: 1.Georgetown 2.DeSoto 3.Fredericksburg 4.Kerrville Tivy 5.Falfurrias My school (Waco Midway) advanced from region with DeSoto (Alternate was Cleburne)We were the 3rd band to march in prelims (after Keller,I think)I've always wondered how we placed,and sadly,it was the last time Midway went to state).By the way,they have a new director this year (from Arlington Bowie),new uniforms,and are doing Dvorak's New World Symphony.The director was actually drum major at Midway when I was there (in gaudy red Bridgemen uniforms!)I hope he is able to elevate their program (which has never really been that bad),up to the level that they are definitely capable of consistently performing.
