  14. Today I had orchestra and I didn't too good. I got 29 out of 60something. I better do better at region auditions...did anyone else go to orchestra.
  15. When is your audition?? My region orchestra audition is tomorrow morning! EEK
  16. So Region auditions are coming soon (Region 18 on Nov. 29 is the first round I think) how do you guys think you will do this year? My goal is to go to Area...going further is always better and also what do you guys this about the music? Esp. Clarinets? Crazy stuff
  17. Hmm I don't remember seeing ajudge get cought in one of mmy shows, but I recall this year in Reagan's show one was like trying to find a way out of the form and the rest of the show he just walked around the edges. I love watching judges from drum corps!!! That is funny! I also like hearing judge's comments. Like last year durring the planets, 1st clarinets had this little thing going on and I remember the judge being like "veryy good clarinets....bla bla bla" It was a really good feeling:)
  18. Nick of course I agree with you! It's because I love you!!! Watch out
  19. Hmm I think I might go shopping tomorrow...but I have region orchestra on saturday, so I can't have too much fun this friday night *sigh* I guess I am gonna like have to throw a party or something!
  20. You guys should really give the Rue Lupics a try...they are by Vandoren and they rock! But they can be kinda soft so I usually get a box of 4 and 5 so I can pick my way through.
  21. PLASTIC REEDS ROCK! esp. for marching season, Clarinot got one and it plays great! THey are about 20 dollars but a pretty good investment!
  22. Yeah I started off on sax in 6th grade and I have to say it is a WHOLE lot easier for jazz than clarinet. You can go further with a sax. So then I dropped sax in the7th grade for clarinet and now picked up sax again even though I mainly focus on clarinet.
  23. Vandoren has good new reeds that they came out with last year are the Rue Lupics (sp?) find a good place to get them at though bc they can be really expensive (40 dollars a box) And get a size higher than usual bc sometimes can be really soft. They are great! and I have like 3 boxes and most of the reeds are good. I am currently testing different types of reeds and will let you guys know what I have found! Rico= people have different opinions. Most of the reeds are bad, but I have found some decent rico reeds for my sax! So my pennies worth is: try out a few...just because people say the brand is bad...there is sometimes a good reed! Just test it out for yourself!!!
  24. Hmm *thinks about possible drum major salute mixed with old cheerleading stuff* Some of those podiums are big enough for a back hand-spring...what do you think
  25. I agree with nick...But I thought it was 120 pages of drill...w/e practicing 8 hours a week and during class.....at 184....then run it back, 184, then run it back, now put music with it. *tries to get a breath* Gotta love band!
