So are those three shows related in concept? Or are they three different themes that they just decided to go with? I mean, why would they decide to pick their shows 2/3 years in advance other than the obvious reasons?

No, that's not what I'm telling you. I'm only talking about the price of 1 audition. A lot of corps come to Texas for auditions, and they don't charge ridiculous amounts for audition materials. I'd also like to dedicate my 200th post to all the children in India.

So the $90 registration fee is total garbage. I mean I understand that they need the money and everything, but that's asking a lot out of people who aren't even sure if they'll make it. Which would make people like me, decide not to try out. And I realize that I'd be saving a lot of money by only having to drive there instead of flying somewhere else, but it's just not worth it. Maybe you get like a sweet t-shirt or something.

That was Round Rock, they have the krunkest warm ups ever. As for Georgetown's performances, we were alright in pre-lims, and not very good in finals. Everyone had an awesome finals warm up, and evidently everyone was over-hyped and we just took off and had rips in the music and a sousaphone fell down... Not our best performance by far. Can't wait till Westlake.

lol they're called rattan shafts. They are usually on vibe or xylo mallets. And they are suppposed to be able to flex or bend for added velocity.

So didn't the Sky Riders try to come to Texas in the 90's and then dissolved after a couple of years? I don't know any specifics about that, I think they went bankrupt etc... But I don't think something like it will happen to the Crossmen. Too many people are pumped up about it for them to fall apart. And they definitley have the financial backing to support a div 1 drum corps considering they are in Ronald Reagan territory. It will definitley be interesting to see how they turn out.

So will each band give one performance and that's it? Or are there prelims and then 5 bands for finals or something like that? Is there a list of bands attending?

In the 80's Georgetown won 5 straight 4A state marching titles and received the Sudler flag of honor.

We usually only have 2 or 3 at most. And the alternates can cover that spot if it's not too late in the season.

Call me conservative but I didn't have a problem with last years system. It wouldn't be reasonable to pull scores out of thin air.

Yeah the cadets had a 6 man tenor line this year, that's the most I've ever seen. They did have that sweet drum break in their show too.
