Speaking of predictions *cough, when is that predictions tab going to open up with predictions to fill out?

Granted I've already put my predictions I honestly don't know who all will will be in finals. There are so many good groups that so many scenarios could happen. However, I think this is probably how it will end up going: Locks (out of order): Marcus, Hebron ,Flower Mound, L.D. Bell,Cedar Park,Round Rock,The Woodlands, CTJ, Vandergrift, Reagan Next four (randomly): Plano East, Spring, Westlake, Cedar Ridge Dark horses: Churchill SFA, Keller, Haltom, Berkner, College Park,Friendswood,Hendrickson I think the top 3 will be CTJ, The Woodlands, and Marcus. However, I wouldn't be surprised if a school came up and knocked Marcus down a spot or two, which could be Round Rock, L.D. Bell, Flower Mound, Hebron, or Cedar Park. The last 7 is completely up for grabs though I would not be surprised at all if Vandergrift or Reagan placed top 8, they're definitely locks for finals, the rest is too ambiguous to tell. PESH had a great show last week at Area B as well as Westlake. However, schools like Spring, Cedar Ridge, and College Park have made finals trips before in recent history. So in all this contest may show some very interesting bands in finals this year.

With BOA Denton coming up next week I was wondering, when are the predictions tab for this season going to be updated?

I wasn't making it out as a big advantage for them, however most of their kids from last year in Wind Symphony are going to be there this year I believe. This would help them a little bit per say the fact some of the kids will be able to nail some parts that others won't be playing (i.e. trumpets from last year playing higher octave stuff from the music b/c they played it last year or w.w.s playing technical parts from last year). Obviously not a great advantage, but still gives them a little bit more than any other ensemble.

Yeah, and just a little bit more of an advantage, they played t&f for UIL. I got to listen to their program for UIL this year since we hosted it...they should have won they sounded phenomenal.

Marcus' show is entitled Gidled Memories (Bach Theme) Music Part 1&2 Toccata and Fugue in D Minor(Part 1 Toccata/Part 2 Fugue) Part 3 Air from Orchestrial Suite No. 3 Part 4 Cello Suite No. 5 All Bach pieces, they'll have a great sound again this year, especially since it will probably be geared towards their phenomenal woodwind section.

Well if you're asking about which classes go to state this year it's 3A and 5A. However, if you're wanting to get some predictions, I could give you a good guess that in Area B 5A L.D. Bell and Marcus are more than likely locks (especially since Marcus is doing Bach, they have a great woodwind section). However, the last two spots are up for grabs. This next season Hebron will be looking to get back up there after a disappointing season this past season. Plano East and Haltom have had much success in taking the 4 slot in recent years. The dark horse of the group will more than likely be Mansfield. In my opinion, I think Flower Mound and Richland have the best chances at taking the last two spots. Both ensembles finished in the top 14 at BOA San Antonio and not to forget Flower Mound got 9th at their first shot at BOA. I think the order for the top 7 will be: L.D. Bell, Marcus, Flower Mound, Richland, Plano East, Mansfield, Haltom; with the chance that Plano East could knock off a school, or Flower Mound will fluctuate between 2nd and 4th.

Yesterday I took an AP Music Theory Test at Marcus and got confirmation that the show next year for Marcus will be Bach.

I'm a senior myself, but after going through my first and well last BOA performance last season, I know I'll be attending these events after graduation as a spectator. So, my school has already got their show concept down (Circus theme) anyone else's school say anything yet?

Phenomenal season from Flower Mound High School! BOA Arlington- 3rd prelims, 4th finals (first appearance in BOA history) Birdville ISD Marching Contest- 1st place (cancelled finals) Captions: Music, General Effect, Colorgaurd, and Percussion UIL Region 24 Marching Contest- Sweepstakes BOA San Antonio (first appearance)- 8th prelims, 9th finals Lonestar Drumline Contest- 3rd place This final year was almost like a dream. This band has progressed so much from my freshman year, and I hope this program continues to progress.

We just played them last week and I can't remember what their show is called. However, they are playing hindemuth for their show. I believe the first movement was symphony in Bb.
