2nd out of 34 french horns for district auditions, region auditions in a couple weeks

I wouldn't venture to say my school had the best season in school history 9/24 - East Central Invitational - 1st place. Notable bands we beat : Taft, Harlingen 10/1 - South San Festival - 1st place, Grand Champions. 10/8 - Westlake Festival - 5th in 5A, 6th overall, highest placement at Westlake in school history! Not to mention marching in the pouring rain as a senior was an experience I'll never forget 10/15 - UIL - Sweepstakes for the 13th (maybe 14th I can't remember) year in a row. Sweepstakes every year in school history! 10/29 - Duncanville Invitational - 15th place 11/4-5 - BOA San Antonio - 27th place I am very satisfied with my senior year's results.

Any band until 33 could've made finals. I am very pleased with the competitiveness of this year's Super Regional!

Look out for O'Connor! We placed 20th last year in our first BOA appearance, and we have a much better, cleaner show this year! We're doing "Chrysalis", which is the same show Reagan performed in 2002 when they went to BOA Grand Nationals. We may be able to squeeze into finals, you never know!

Does Duncanville always have 12 finalists? I remember in 2009 (last time we were there) we were all shocked that there were 12 finalists.

i'm excited to be at this contest! it'll be it's own mini-state marching contest with some of the best bands showing up! it's gonna be incredible and even better if O'Connor can make finals!

"Angels in the Architecture" by Frank Ticheli is challenging, but fun to play. "October" by Eric Whitacre is absolutely gorgeous! I just played both of those for UIL and we got sweepstakes. It was a fantastic performance!

When I watched the DVD, i looked at the timer of the disc to keep track of time. Like if the Woodlands performance started at 25:37 on the disc, i fast-forwarded to 33:37 to see if they were still performing or not. They both went over.

Once I got the DVD from 2010 State, I watched all of pre-lims and finals and made my own predictions. I did this 1) because I thought it would be fun, and 2) Many people think that there was some inconsistency in the judging. I moved up to 4th today! I'm moving on to area!

We had the district auditions on nov 20th. Region is this saturday. i got 6th out 34 french horns

yeah were not too thrilled about the 7:30 time. but one thing our director keeps telling us that for at least a few minutes, we'll be in first place! haha and i guess i should be happy that its a local school going first, instead of some dallas band or something.

I dont mean to brag, but when we (I go to O'Connor) watched our video of Area Finals, it was definetly 10X better than our Westlake performance! And while we got 4th in Finals, keep in mind we also got 2nd in pre-lims! I don't think state finals is a very reasonable prediction, but I can see us doing better than 2008 (26th place)

I see finals shaping up like this : 1) Marcus 2) LD Bell 3) Hebron 4) Duncanville 5) Coppell 6) Bowie 7) The Woodlands 8) Westlake 9) Reagan 10) Spring I really didn't know past 8, so Reagan and Spring were kinda guesses, there's a lot of good bands out there, but my top 8 seems legit. T
