So......best band that didn't make finals? Opinions from anyone that actually saw all/the majority of the groups?

The tunes for drums are Filthy McNasty, Caravan.....and I think, I love you.Not 100% sure on that last one though

Lol, I'm just ribbin' him. You'd understand better if you thought about/realized who he was. Tpt players who can't swing shouldn't reply to posts they don't understand!!!!! *wink wink nudge nudge* My personal vote goes to Carroll.....if you haven't heard them, try to make time, they are really unbelivable this year!

Everyone did a great job all day long getting ready for such an early competition. A special congrats to Centennial H.S. from Frisco for making their first finals.

How good is your school's Jazz Band?

What is your band director like during rehearsal? Outside of rehearsal? Do you think they do a good job? Do they know what they are doing? Who is your director????

Are there any bands that you have seen this year that you think will make an impact this next year?

The format of the competition is: Lowest overall rank score wins. The only time that the "3 first place votes" rule comes into effect is when a band might possibly be left out of going to the state marching band competition. It had nothing to do with the results of this contest. You can read the above posts to see what the prelim rank totals were.

Does anyone else have any further information about this contest, like where we can find a scoring breakdown. Please let us know if you have any info about this!!!

Ok, I feel like I need to defend my honor here, I am Michael Knipe. I don't have any clue who this booboo guy/girl is but it is not me. I do feel we have a very strong show here at Martin and do feel that we are going to do a great job this year and feel that we have the opportunity to really perform well.
