"LoL".....what is so funny? I refuse to believe that someone who apparently hasn't seen the show is so quick to make a scoring judgement half way through the season on a group of high school students who have worked hard to get that score.... Doesn't really matter who's score it is... It is their score none the less for that group of kids.. They earned it and should be allowed to enjoy it. -

Round Rock's show is "The Raven" by Poe.. Intense and fast. RR is working with a new Head Director( prev assistant director) but all key people still in place.. So they should continue to impress without missing a beat... All I can say about Drumline and Colorguard is. WOW... THEY ARE IMPRESSIVE. On a different note... Does anyone know who is attending Westlake Marching Contest this year? -

That's the whole purpose of a forum.... It gives folks a chance to voice opinions, good or bad.... It gives folks a chance to vent..... It gives folks some interesting reading.. Lets face it ....If everyone wrote about sunshine and roses... Nobody would read ... -

Although i have supported Round Rock this season... I am NOT a Round Rock kid... It a forum for everyone to voice their opinions... But when it appears that one person keeps throwing digs at a band that clearly doesn't deserve it... Good for those kids who defend their band! -

I'd really like to see Round Rock make finals... I wouldn't call them a lock but I believe they have a fighting chance ..it really falls on the judges... Nail bitter -

Area D 4A

How can 3 judges score 1,2 or 3 and then along comes a judge that doesn't like the show then score that band in the double digits, knowing what they are doing! If they score that different from the others... The score should be thrown out. Too bad if they don't like it. Maybe judging will be more consistent. IMO......... -

What is frustrating is it seems possible that can be one judge can make or break a band. What would be fair is throwing out top and bottom scores.. That would keep judging streamlined knowing if you score too low, your score will be thrown out. This would give all the bands a fighting chance should one judge not like their program. Seems this would have helped CP at Area D. -

Marching Contest are like football games.... On any given day even the best teams can be beaten, rare as that is... it can happen. All it takes is for the other team (band) to be in best form and all the planets to align. That's what makes it so exciting - just believe you have a chance and play to win... -

I'm not sure I agree with them as a "lock". I do hope they make finals as they did great job, but if your lock is based on the Vista Ridge's contest, I'm not sure I would put all my weight in those scores. I believe one would be hard pressed to defend the scores esp in the caption sections in 4A and 5A not only in prelims but also finals. This is my opinion but I have a feeling that alot of people will agree with this assessment.
