  1. I agree. We all know Marcus and Bowie and LD Bell and them will make it. But what of the other bands that can take the remaining finals spots? Or better yet, the bands that very well could sneak into finals?
  2. I agree. It's going to be a very intense contest between all of us. I'm really excited to see how the competition ends for all the bands this year. Whether a band makes finals or not, they all but forth a truly amazing show every year. I cannot wait until November 5th! Good luck to all the bands! (:
  3. Let's see. For Plano East: 2004- "Savannah River Holiday" 2005- "Chaos Theory" 2006- "Celestial Light" 2007- "Far Side of the World" 2008- "Symbols" 2009- "Luminaries" 2010- "Pursuit"
  4. Well I guess that makes sense. Takes away the massive musical impact though.
  5. And have absolutely no idea how they are going to do it.
  6. I have to say, the L.D. Bell performance that I witnessed at BOA was spectacular. The only thing that caused me grief was the fact that such an amazing band could be so incapable of making straight lines. We were seated on the endzone side, and their linear forms had many people not only out of line, but also creating a arch-like form. I also found it depressing that the people that would place the props off the backfield could not make straight lines upon their first entrance, and then proceeded to move around whilst their line was in a hold. But over all, they suprised me with thier show. I know they will represent Area B very well at State tomorrow.
  7. Well maybe they'll take the first alternates from each area? That's the only thing I can come up with to get close to 8. I will keep up with this thread and see where it goes, but I'm pretty sure its either rumor, or a first in State history.
  8. Well if this did occur, which bands would be added in for State? I mean at Area B, the only harsh weather that occured was for the East show, and after the delay was lifted for the contest, everyone else had moderate weather. I'm just highly confused on this matter.
  9. It was really convinient that it didn't happen during the first movement, because then we wouldn't have been able to have finished the show. Right when we finished our show, we walked 6 steps towards the end zone, and then we were pushed underneath the stands and into the nadatorium as the tornado sirens went off. Rather amusing stories came out of it though.
  10. As a Plano East Band member, we are all crushed about how the weather cost us two points that could have taken us to state. But we do wish the other bands the best of luck at state and we'll crush them at BOA. Look out, we're hot in "Pursuit".
